Digital Life: Alone in the Dark Review

Although some games are desperate to please and entertain, Alone in the Dark is determined to aggravate. For every wondrous innovation or thrilling sequence, there is another that is baffling, frustrating or just poorly designed.

Considering 1992's Alone in the Dark is considered gaming's first survival-horror adventure, kick-starting a genre later popularised by Resident Evil, it is appropriate that this sequel is ambitious and innovative. But it frequently seems that developer Eden Games bit off more than it could chew, or needed much more time for polishing.
