Hey, Lair was a ctually a pretty decent game. I wish it wasnt linear though. The game was beautiful but they should have taken their time to polish the game... which is their fault it flopped.

Ultimate Ninja Storm's combat system is much better but I don't think the adventure part is as complex as this one.

Well, if they cant compete with the combat they gotta find another route to compete.

Btw, i disagree with story exploration blah blah. Go to the japanese site of naruto games. I dont have the link right now. You'll see that you can actually explore the whole village from the video while jumping around and doing whatever. A lot of the NPCs are text related conversations though.

Also, they included a short clip of Neji exploring or jumping around the Konoha trees, you know like when they travel or something. Side quests maybe with different characters?

Edit: yes, im talking about The Storm one.

that's what I'm thinking. And the PS3 version covers more episodes than Ubi's last game.

And with this announcement I'm thinking that perhaps Namco Bandai has approval for Playstation related Naruto titles w/ Ubi holds the rights to the XBOX versions. It's odd enough that two publishers/developers have the same IP licensed but w/ Ubi pushing another 360 title I really think that's what we're looking at. Namco Bandai creates PS3 Naruto while Ubi creates 360 Naruto...

They should do this with Sports Games instead. To see Madden go from 360 one year to PS3 the next and then back makes a bit more sense than buying the game every year for a roster change...

the 360 version is a continuation of the previous game (from I think 81-135, whereas the PS3 version goes from episode 1-135 of the anime. So I'm kinda expecting the 360 version to be a little more in-depth (although Rise Of a Ninja was not as in-depth as I would have liked).

But the good thing about the PS3 version is that it has Japanese Voices, which ROAN didn't have (was released as DLC later)

I don't agree with you, although Storm will be a great game, Rise of the ninja was a really great Naruto adventure game and Broken Bond should be just as good as that one if not better. Both should be great Naruto games.

Jason, you're way off. The way of the Future is First and second party exclusives.

Ubi would make this game on the PS3 but it is more of a sure thing to make it on one console, especially since all the assets and tools for this game come from the first one. This game is a minimal risk with almost guaranteed profit.

I have played and enjoyed the PS2 versions, I suggest that if you like the Storm Demo you should try out Cyberconnect's PS2 Naruto games, they are pretty cool and really look great for PS2 games.

But I don't think the idea is that Storm will kick this one's ass, Rise of the Ninja was a really great twist on the Naruto games and a great adventure game to boot, this sequel should be good also. Both will be great Naruto Games, Storm looks more to be a focused fighter where As the Ubi Montreal games are more focused to be adventure. And I know Storm has an adventure mode, but so did Ultimate ninja 3, if you want a taste of what Storms adventure will be like, I suggest you go check out Ultimate Ninja 3, I'm sure it will be pretty much the same concept.

In the end I like the idea that we have two different games based on the same popular franchise made by different studios. Much better then just a port of the same game on both consoles.
