Gutted, I've be hoping for Shenmue 3 since completing Shenmue 2. Would you guys classify it as RPG? If so it was the only one I ever played. Back in the days of the Dreamcast, Shenmue and Power Stone rocked my gaming world.

And the odd bit of Bass Fishing ;)

It's unfortunate that Shenmue wont be continued. I remember when I played the first one and found out that the second was Japan only, I was pretty upset, but when I found out the Dreamcast was dead I was floored.

It would be silly for Sega to release another console. 3 video game consoles is enough and a 4th console would be just too crowded to me. None of Sega's consoles were very successful anyways and another Sega console would probably just flop. The only other company that I can realistically see coming out with a future console and being a huge success is Apple.

It truly amazes me that Sega are not making Shenmue 3, sales of Shenmue 1 & 2 were not that high due to the small Dreamcast userbase, but for those of us who played 1 & 2 you can GUARANTEE at least 95% of those people would buy Shenmue 3, and on top of that if it was multiplatform theres no doubt that those who missed out before would be curious as to what all the fuss was about back in 1999/2000, we need Shenmue 3 so we can finally put this story to rest, Lan Di must PAY........

I've always thought that being a Brand Manager would be lots of fun, especially if you're into videogames.
But I don't think I'll go looking for employment at Sega, it's already too much.

I see the mentality here... Have Sega comment on rumors that both they(Kotaku) and Sega know that are untrue to begin with before a show starts, so that everybody's going to be excited abou8t something that's never going to actually be shown, thus leading to chronic dissapoinment.

I understand Simon Jeffrey's expression, "I want to announce and promote the games that my company wants to release.", "I want to be asked about those games, not be pestered with other questions and titles that are either: a) Are out of my jurisdiction;
b) I have no control over;
c) That I have no idea;
d) That we really have no plans whatsover to release;
e) Have nothing to do with our current line-up;"

I hope Dark Sniper and Zhuk both get here.Seeing as how they are both fans of the Dreamcast.The Dreamcast was a fine console and SEGA performed a tremendous job.I wish the dreamcast 2 would be here today.Shenmue,Soul Calibur,Sonic Adventure,Skies of Arcadia,and Jet Set Radio.You cant duplicate stuff like that.

Sega has clearly gone out of tune to listening to what their fans really want. They're quick to debunk a project but yet they cannot explain why they wouldnt recreate these fantastic games in the Dreamcast lineup.

Shenmue III would clearly be the highest selling comeback franchise ever in gaming history. Everyone who has played the first two games know that the Ryo Hazuki's story MUST FINISH. As gamers, we demand that Sega allow us to finish the fight against Lan Di once and for all.

Until an announcement is made, Dark Sniper will continue to boycott anything that has Sega's name on it with the exception of any games developed in the AM2 department.
