No wonder it is Nintendo and Microsoft fans complaining about 'E3 is dead' and Sony fans are ecstatic.

20 first party game studios are working on exclusive titles for the PS3 - and that isn't even including exclusive PS3 developers like Insomniac and Sucker Punch and all of the companies doing PSN titles.

Sony has more first party development studios than Nintendo and Microsoft COMBINED. Nintendo has around 10 and Microsoft only has about 4, maybe 5.

This Sony domination of conferences is not going to stop. Nintendo doesn't want to or need to compete for gamers attention with soccer moms and other non-gamers snapping up the Wii for fad weightloss products like WiiFit.

And Microsoft simply can't compete with its anemic exclusive developer lineup.

The FFXIII port isn't coming to the 360 until roughly a year after it hits the shelves in Japan for the PS3.

What you're trying to say is that porting the game to the 360 is going to take the same amount of time as simply localizing an otherwise completed game. The only this is feasible is if Square delays the NA PS3 version of the game but they claim that there will be no delays. Common sense says that in NA, PS3 version should be first unless MS payed for a simultaneous release.

It's not about teaser trailers, it's about the idea that rather than pulling up to third party developers with a dump truck of cash to buy previously exclusive games only to get a "portion" of the game, Sony is showing what they have in store for us in terms of first party exclusivity, and innovation. GOW3 and MAG may have been CGI, but they were announcements that show the Sony fans that Sony is forward thinking and taking care of their first party titles.

In my opinion, Sony was a touch better than MS and MS and Sony were both way better than Nintendo. I liked what MS is offering but they just didn't bring much new to the table. Netflix is cool but I already have a service like it and don't want to pay for another one. And not to mention that Netflix is nice for North America but it means nothing to the rest of the world.

Sony won the conference imo.

Microsoft - No new game announcement. Mii and SingStar ripoff games announced. Final Fantasy XIII multiplatform announcement (Nobody care now)

Nintendo - Wii Music...enough sad.

Sony - GOW III trailer, M.A.G. trailer, Resistance: Retribution, Little Big Planet stats demonstration, new bundles announced.

7.1 - they don't do that no more
peter moore stated in a interview after e3 of last year they wanna focus on games for that year or the first part of the next. if a game is not close to being ready they won't announce cuz they wanna try to avoid any delays. so nothing new or unheard of was announced that's their style. Personally I like it.

I mean I'd rather know a game like gears 2 or fable 2 is coming this year than to be teased with let's say I don't know a GOW trailer and no idea when the game will ship..... :/

sony highlight - LBP presentation, and res2 in game footage

sony downer - too much talk about ps2, most footage was trailers....

nobody won imo. both were decent but both were better than nintendo.

But all real articles claim the 360 as the winner. Although all three "epic-ly" sucked this year the one that sucked the least was the 360. Read all the articles that dont start with official,Playstation,xbox or Nintendo and you'll see who won and why.

But hell! Why read real news when you can just read Playstation.com's verdict? right?.....

I got a little tip for you....anyone who tries to make an argument for one being better than the other would be exhibiting "fanboy/girl" behavior.

Nintendo had the worst E3 of all time! I'm truly glad I sold my Wii for $450!

Microsoft's big new was a stolen exclusive that's going to be full fledged on PS3 and then a watered-down port on the 360 a year later! The rest of the conference was telling us thing we already new a bland new interface, Mii rip-offs and poorly played "casual games"

SONY had the only conference with something immediately available(Video Store) plus announced GoW3, Resistance PSP, the revolutionary MAG etc.

SONY won! I have PS3 and 360 and I played mostly 360 until MGS4 and I have not touched my 360 since! I was hoping for Microsoft to give me a reason to keep using my 360 (besides GeoW2 cus I didn't like the first one) but they didn't! NetFlix is OK but they only have 10% of NetFlix's library and NO new releases and its not in HD.

Microsoft just copied Nintendo and SONY. Microsoft is so untrustworthy with the way they word stuff. For example - "Rock Band 2 will be on Xbox 360 exclusivley in September" It is true that it will only be on 360 in September but it will be on PS3 2 months later! They made it sound like it was a permanent exclusive, which is smart, but it makes you think "I wonder what else they're trying to hide"

are they only comparing the press conferences or are they talking about the cumulative showings for the week. I cannot make an informed choice because I only watched the Sony stuff, but I was impressed the way Guerilla gradually released information about KZ2 on a daily basis. The video store is great and I am happy that we are able to transfer those videos to the PSP. LBP was a joy to see and Infamous gameplay looks like a blast. I was a little disappointed that we didn't see some of the unseen titles (Heavy Rain, Wardevil, etc.), but I think that Sony is breaking up some announcements for different gaming shows. With the speed of the internet, everything becomes "old news" very quickly. Sony's Gamer's Day, E3, Leipzig, TGS are all within 5 months of each other. I can see waiting, especially with all of the first party studios Sony owns.
