I disagree, Sony showed a lot of new stuff, Microsoft showed multiplatform and casual games and Nintendo showed a lot of casual games.

But it doesn't matter, since E3 sucks anyway.

As a PS3 owner i couldn't be more excited about futre PS3 offerings. The PS3 era is shaping up to be the best sofar and thats all that matters to me.

i dunno... ff13 is huge but the rest of MS's conference was a bore... Sony's at least was mote consistent, showed off new ip's...
i mean, ff13 is still ps3 exclusive in japan (a place MS still sucks at)... that alone dents the news, especially when versus 13 is still a ps3 exclusive.

i think sony did better in all honesty.

little big planet sales chart was the coolest thing i have seen in sales data talk everyone else still used power point just that one presentation made me go wow and i was laughing it was just awesome.

so imo sony won just cause of lbp sales presentation.

Dude,, For one its multiplat,, for two, they keep on changing the gameplay for every new game they make. Whos to say that FF is even gonna be a good game? Just look at what they did with Dragon Quest. Despite being the most sold game in Japan under their belt,, they went on to make they most incompetent Dragon Quest game ever developed.

I honestly dont care for Final Fantasy after they made FF 12. They really messed up when they took the turn based forumla out of the game totally, and ended up putting in something more of an action game. I dont know what you guys think about that, but if I wanted to play an action RPG, I would just play games like Fable, Oblivion and ever other RPG that devs are making right now. I dont understand why they would rewrite the gameplay system when it was never in the consumers interest?

I really think that Squeenix has really messed up this time. Whos to say that they could even give 360 consumers a verion of ff13 that isnt gimped to where they dont have to use 5+ disc just to play a revisioned game that isnt nearly as polished as the ps3 version? From what I seen, Squeenix can make really good looking rpg's. To me it seems like they are just getting too ambitious with these games. I look at games like Last Remnant,, where you are in control of like 70 players, and infinite undiscovery, which is more of an action game, Im really starting to feel that Squeenix just isnt the company that it used to be.

That last thing I would like to say is WTF is up with squeenix only giving the 360 the benefit of having these titles. I own all three next gen consoles, but do I really have to play these games only on my 360? I mean seriously, does Squeenix not understand that playing all of these rpg's could kill my 360? Squeenix is just not making any sense these days, and I cant wait to see what actually comes out of all of this. Ive been playing Enix Squaresoft games since I was a child, and it doesnt even feel like the same company anymore. They used to make the best rpg's, turn based, full of story, and made characters that you used to relate to and care about. I think that squeenix is acting more like EA these days.. The end.

I was totally bored and Pissed at Microsoft the whole way threw until the Steve Jobs episode at the end.

Sony Did a better job spacing their upcoming titles through out the conference and it was a bit (not much) more exciting than Microsoft. However, MAG did not have the same impact as FFXIII. Sony fans already new GoW3 was coming but the seeing a teaser trailer was nice but not shocking.

I say they all tied this E3. If you compare this E3 to a Boxing Match they made it through all 13 matches but no KOs. Sony landed more punches but no big hits or knock out blows thru out the 13 matches, while MS did a 'duck and cover' most of the time but got one luck big hit at the end. However, it was enough to knock Sony, or Nintendo, out of the ring.

Overall a boring Boxing Match....... For everybody

the one before this one says than on E3 PS3 soared to new highs, then this one comes out and says that the PS3 underwhelmed at E3... I mean come on... LMAO!!!!

Waits for Microsofts next new games announcement BigLittleUniverse which they thought of 8 years ago and didnt get any ideas of other platforms.

On a serious note Sony held back quite a few announcements and games everyone knows that one of the biggest announcements for Microsoft is going to be Bungies next project. Sony on the other hand still has to show Heavy Rain which i think is going to be amazing. They also have many others in the pipeline like Wardevil.

Basically all this E3 showed us was its nothing compared to what it used to be and it isnt the big hype machine it used to be.

i dont really see how MS got the title for best at e3! ok, they had a megaton with FF13, but what else? they missed out on the games that really meannt something, like alan wake!

sony had a meh conference, talking about how good PS is, but why not? all companies do it every year! but when it came to games and innovation, they shone. the wave of momentum for them has only started trickling in, in a few months it will come crashing in!

nintendo? lets not go there...

The realism of the graphics is just unreal, and I havent even seen a computer put out such realism. Gamespot has some screen shots of the main character crying,, and its really freaky because it looks so real, like shes about to come out of the screen. Freaky stuff man,, what the ps3 can do is out of this world. Oh yeah,, you can also see a tech demo of the game on youtube,, the movies are just freaking crazy. Its the most realistic game ever created on any platform, including the pc. Dont believe me? Check it out for yourselves.

but if i remember sony use to get bashed for not showing games and they showed the most games exclusive to there console this e3.. to me sony showed the most and had the best games to show.. As a ps3 owner i am really exciting about the future of the ps3

MS and nintendo had the worse showing.. the only big thing MS announced was FF13.. But is that really that big over here in the USA? no who the hell cares and the games not coming out until 2010.. MS line up is pretty damn weak. The only new games if you want to call them games is scene it 2 and lips.. lol.. If i only owned a 360 i would be piss because the future doesnt look to bright for you..

PS3 e3 line up = resistance 2, little big planet, MAG, Socom, God of war 3, killzone 2, Infamous, motorstorm 2, heavy rain, ff13, and the agency..

360 e3 line up = fable 2, gears 2, ff13, lips, scene it 2, banjo, and a bunch of multi plat games..

So if you call yourself a gamer who really won E3?

When looking at the Sony conference, you have to ask yourself......how much of this stuff was new games that you had no idea about, versus just finally revealing or showing games that we already knew about. Or how about new information that has not already been general knowledge. I believe that is how or why many people are saying Microsoft won.....because they presented something that nobody knew about. With that said, people give Nintendo a ding because their conference was not long, and did not really show that much gaming in general.......but they did show some new stuff coming down the pipe. But then that was a turn off, because "hardcore" gamers feel left out. So if we talk about impact......I think Microsoft's one piece of news made a bigger ripple than all the news that Sony presented, as well as Nintendo.......even though Nintendo's new games will off course rack up sales. Just ask yourself, what news article dominates headlines....while Microsoft could have been considered to not done much other stuff....the lost of exclusivity thrusted Microsoft to the front of news. And we can all make the claim that Final Fantasy coming to the 360 does not mean much, I have to disagree.......it creates the perception that third parties are loving the 360. The same kind of perception and reality than allowed the ps2 to dominate the great gaming machine known as the dreamcast.

At the end I could careless...I have already bought the consoles....so I do not need to be sold on buying one.so what is coming a year or so from now does not matter, just wake me when it gets here.

They trumpet about getting FF XIII as well (good for them...) so the loss of this exclusive really hurts SONY(yeah, you keep thinking that)... but they also go on about Resident Evil 5 and how important it is to the 360... isn't that game coming to the PS3 as well?

Or was that not worth the attention FFXIII got?

Furthermore, is this really the first time we've heard about GoW2? Don't get me wrong, GoW was the first 360 game I was actually impressed with(suck it, Halo 3), and the game looks fun, but isn't that pseudo-old news by now?

Uhhh... you mention Resistence: Retribution, but leave out Resistence 2? Well, I know I saw the demo... what were you looking at?

I mean could someone tell me why people want to play FFXIII on an xbox 360 with RROD and a 5 disc multidisc game that is coming out a year later than the PS3 version is in the US? Sounds like the Xbox crew will be waiting for the most gimped version of a game this gen. And besides that, what did MS show that WAS significant.

I'm sorry but at least us (former) Nintendo fans are realistic about the company E3 showings than freaking xbox fans.

@ CNIVEK: Really... the only two games that we know that are going to do great is Viva Pinata 2 and Gears of War 2. Fable doesnt look as promising as Gears or Pinata... we will see what happens

Sony showed some promise for the future with titles that we(mostly) already knew about. I can't say I'm happy about them not liking to pay up for 3rd party exclusives, as i feel every console should have some (if they need proof on how well they sell, then they can look at MGS4's sales).

Nintendo... i don't even wanna talk about them, just sad. (they'll probably have a junk-ton of stuff at TGS though imo). I think a lot of people were let down about the no kid icarus game.

Microsoft, while certain things that they presented were pretty good ideas, can anyone tell me aside from the FFXIII announcement, what was THAT big of a deal? netflix? we knew about the majority of their stuff as well.
