Mystery thickens: Avatar once had normal achievements

oxm.co.uk writes: "Avatar, the game that is notorious for having the easiest achievements on Xbox 360, once had much tougher achievements.

After digging through old review code, we found that the review code for Avatar that THQ sent us once sported a normal looking list of achievements.

These ranged from reaching a certain hit count in combos to completing levels normally.

There were 20 achievements in all, a substantial increase on the current game's tally of five."

Guilty.

2:30 PM: Rented Avatar from Blockbuster

2:45 PM: Started game

2:46 PM: Ejected the game with my GS 1,000 points richer

3:00 PM: Left Blockbuster after returning the game

Any bets this won't be the last game that this happens to?
