More Proof that Left 4 Dead is coming to PS3?

In the lastest episode of Game Trailers 'The Bonus round' they have clearly listed upcoming title Left 4 Dead for the PlayStation 3 as well as Xbox 360 and PC. Now this follows on from recently when EA confirmed that it was being released in there winter 2008 release line up and also when valve said a PlayStation 3 version was possible.

Now this for now remains a rumor, however it does look likey that Left 4 Dead will be released on the PlayStation 3 at some point.

I won't buy it. The Orange box is like $30 now. 5 good games for $30. It's very irresistible but why should we get a worse product than 360 and PC owners. We all pay the same so why should we get crappy versions.

I can't believe this got approved.

EA most likely won't port this to the PS3 because the Orange Box did not sell well on the PS3 and EA is being innundated by angry emails and petitions from PS3 owners because of its framerate issues. Something tells me that the Source engine is incompatible with the PS3's architecture.

Then you haven't played it on xbox 360. I purchased the ps3 version first then tried out the 360 version at game crazy and was extremely upset that EA did a lazy and super horrible job porting it.

I really don't care if Left 4 Dead comes to the PS3 or not because I've seen some Left 4 Dead gameplay and I'm not impressed at all. I'd take Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 anyday, but if it does come to the PS3, I might buy it. But if Left 4 Dead is just going to be another crappy port like the Orange Box, then it shouldn't be released on the PS3 if the developers aren't going to take the time and do it right.

Time is running out Microsoft, it's time for you guys to make more your own games under Microsoft Game Studios.

SqEx already announced their 360 lineup. It didn't include FFXIII. That won't change. SqEx has been quoted saying they want to support all platforms equally and with the way they have their lineups set they're doing exactly that. If having Star Ocean 4 exclusively doesn't satisify you then I don't know what to tell you.

8.1 - Proud owner of the PS3 version of The Orange Box.

As an owner of the PS3 version of The Orange Box, might I just add that although it has been reported that each part of The Orange Box plays horrible on the PS3, this is more over exaggerating than truth, the Half Life parts (Half Life 2, Episode 1, Episode 2) played fine for me, sans the somewhat longer loading times here and there.

Portal was pretty much flawless albeit the aforementioned loading times (and worth the price tag alone to SOME gamers).

Finally we have the online multiplayer game Team Fortress 2, this is where my, and many others, issues with The Orange Box come into play. It is basically unplayable with the amount of lag that is present in almost 95% of matches. However, I have come to grips with this mostly because the amount of great content (HL2 considered by many the best FPS of all time) included in The Orange Box, so I basically just go about as if this meager port wasn't even included.

With all that being said, as an owner of the PS3 version of The Orange Box, I would love Left 4 Dead to come to my system of choice, even if Valve is outspokenly biased against my beloved system.

After all, you have to remember that people are afraid of what they do not know.

LOL and Valve seems to not be able to code for the PS3.
