Soul Calibur big hit on Xbox Live

It seems that Soul Calibur has been a big hit topping the XBLA chart and getting in to the top 10 of the most played Xbox games. With Rez HD and Ikaruga also big hits for XBLA it make you wonder, did all those Dreamcast/Sega fans move on to the Xbox 360?

what kept me from purchasing Soul Calibur was the lack of online... Without it, I just felt it would have been a waste of money when I already have my dreamcast intact with Soul Calibur... I'm glad others are enjoying it though

2.1 - XBOX was Dreamcast 2
There is no doubt that Dreamcast fans - myself included - became XBOX owners. Outrun 2, Shenmue 2, Sega GT 2002, Panzer Orta, Crazy Taxi 3, House of the dead 3 - there would have undoubtedly been Dreamcast titles had it survived. I was a little surprised that Virtua Fighter 4 was PS2 exclusive though.

Yes it is...and I'm a HUGE fan of the Series's Music
it's so Uptempo and just ready for brawling type music...

But it all started with this Original

This is one of my favorite tracks

4 - Now, just put
Some Capcom VS. games on there, and watch gamers come in droves. Live would probably go down from all the downloading.

5 - i think
giving some numbers for this would have been better? Maybe they do but i didnt read this

I know they can give you a number of how many ppl are playing online in COD so why not this game

anyway

dreamcast was a good machine. I remember waiting 4EVER on games and they never did come...kinda like my 3DO...i really liked that machine also. Need for Speed was great on the 3DO

I've always said that a huge chunk of the xbox user base were previous dreamcast owners. The selection of classic games on XBL kinda makes me wanna 360 though. :( I love my PS1 classics, but I'd kill for soul calibur.

6.1 - Agreed
One of my co-worker is a big Sega/Dreamcast fanboy. He got a 360 because it had some of the great Dreamcast classics.

So if Sega fans are on the 360, then Shemmue 3 is possible. Sega/MS stop teasing us.

Maybe. But great games are great games, regardless of console. I think people are rediscovering some wonderful classic games.

11 - I was a Dreamcast/Sega fan that made the move to Xbox
Might explain why I shunned Playstation products after the PS2 killed the Dreamcast (not that I do now). I feel that the Xbox is almost a spiritual successor to Dreamcast. Anyone else feel that way?

Edit: just so everybody is clear, I am not bashing Playstation products and grew out of my fanboy stage (like many other people do) long ago.
