It'd be interesting to see. I know Nintendo isn't going to blow any of us away but MS and Sony could really surprise. If MS announces a price cut and some new software/IP then they very well could take the show.

Sony, as usual, has set the bar pretty high for themselves. But with some great looking games set to come and MGS4 already holding a special place in my heart forever, Sony also could take the show.

Can't wait.

That's what the pricedrop is for. Nothing attracts people like a good value. And I totally disagree with those games not attracting new audiences. They just add to the largest and best library of games out right now, which can't be reasonably argued against.

And yes, Banjo and the new control will actually grab some of the Wii's market, especially at that new price point. Especially after all the buzz the market will have going on about the new 3D dashboard. People always want the new "It" thing and the dashboard will definitily be a "It" thing!

Halo 3 was really disappointing. Sure, a lot of people bought it. But I don't know anyone that actually likes it. We still stand by Halo 2 as the best in the franchise.

Just think of it this way. More than twice the number of people bought Halo 3 vs. COD4 on the 360, but COD4 is the most played online title on XBL by a very big margin.

from what i'm getting it will be much more of the same. You'll get some gears and fable, expect to hear something about alan wake and my gamerpad. Expext Sony and Microsoft to be valid at E3, Nintendo will be there but not in force this year. Sony hadn't said much, so look for something different out of their camp.

5 - Looking at MS and this years E3, I think they have more oppotunities for surprises

given them rumors(some kinda far fetched) hold up. Certainly more BUZZ!! about what they might possibly cook up.

Besides the games and we all know which ones. But I think only half of these Rumors will come into light. It sounds, too good to be true. Then again, we'll see.

If a motion control is indeed a fact,I think not only Banjo but a couple party games will be shown to work with this new controller.If this is actually going to come true,that would go a long way for the "casual crowd"...And Microsoft will grab the attention of the casual gamers.

As for halo,I think a Peter Jackson version will be shown first,then later this year or early next year a Bungie Halo 4 game will be shown afterwards.

I sure hope we get to see a new AAA IP,something that creates a great buzz.Perhaps the Bungie "rumored" other game? A platformer? (superintendent?) Since we will already be getting a Peter Jackson Halo and a Halo 4 game down the road,it would be nice to see something along the lines of a Ratchet and Clank,Jax and daxter game that comes from Bungie...

Microsoft will wow everyone at e-3 and with the now lower price point it will outsell the ps3 5 to 1. Wait and see.

I see the xbox 360 being the console of choice for everyone around the world very soon. A 200 dollar xbox 360 is upon us and when you can get 90% of all games on the system and in most cases they look, play and run better, it's a no brainier.

except the 360 has always been lower in price than the Ps3 and has yet to "cripple it." In fact, the PS3 still outsold it in Europe with a similar pricing structure. Even the so-called "Perfect Storm" of 07 didn't cripple it. So, you're assumptions have no base to them.

As many have pointed out in the past, its about GAMES. Unless MS reveals new IPs or major timed-exclusives or exclusives, I don't see them gaining any significant sells outside of the U.S.

The 360 is already cheaper than the PS3 now, so why isn't the 360 outselling the PS3 right now? If the 360 isn't outselling the PS3 now, I don't think it ever will, I mean, the cheapest 360 is just $30 more expensive than a Wii. Anyone that can afford to buy a Wii can afford to drop $30 bucks more for a 360 Arcade. The 360 Arcade is already at a mass market price in my opinion at $279 because it's as close to $249 as can be.

I guess the only thing Microsoft can do is count on the U.S. market because that's really the only market they can count on at this point, but with the U.S. economy the way it is, I think that Microsoft shouldn't be relying on the U.S. market so much.

Is a savy company- they've seen the Wii widening its lead and the PS3 finally catching up. They will have good stuff to announce, whatever it may be. Big games are coming-- Gears 2, Fable 2, Banjo, etc., so I look for more future-related announcements (next year) or hardware/software that isn't a game announcements (perhaps being able to surf the web on your 360? New Live interface?) and some Halo- related info that hasn't been seen yet. And, of course, the price drop and 60GB hard drive which is all but official already...
