cmon microsoft seriously i see names like this all the time, jus played a game of halo 3 last night wit a dude calld deez_knutz. Seriously i understand banning discriminatory names, but if ur gunna ban these "novelty" names either remove them all or none at all.

Well hey on the bright side atleast u get a free method of changing ur gamertag (dam why didnt i think of sumthing like that for my name, i hate it now)

i would be damn sure to have whatever gamertag i want since i pay $50 a year. but my gamertag isnt something like that anyway... but still, people that pay should have any kind of gametag they want unless it has the "n" word or any racist names. i see gamertags like this all the time on the PSN and it never gets bannned... jeez, you pay a fee for a year but still have to do what microsoft says while ps3 owners dont have to pay and have whatever names they want.
yeah xbox live is so much better right? *sarcasm*

if those kind of gamertags make people feel uncomfortable, then they should mind their own business and get over it, its just a word

Seriously, these articles of people having such names just baffles my mind. In my opinion it's gamers like this who give the gaming community a bad name. This kind of stuff is what the media feeds on, like a kid stealing a car just after playing Grand Theft Auto. It's these little things that the media can easily twist and blame video games for some odd reason.

As a gamer I think it's immature but that's just me.

I may be ignoring some key points in all these stories about Msoft pwning gamertags but....

Isn´t there a previous agreeming and a set of "rules of behaviour" which you agree to follow when signing up?

Doesn´t it state point like banning names considered offensive by others and or Msoft... yada yada yada...

Ok, it´s a fact no one ever takes the real time to read through all of the end user license agreements and these rules (maybe once in a lifetime to see what it said or because of boredom). But I think they clearly state this kind of things.

I am truly not against any gamertag of any type, I really wont be offended by a kid´s nickname whatsoever, but I think other people might, which is why all this (sometimes "exagerated") rules exist.

My point is: Why is this NEWS?

"Msoft forced me to change my gamertag according to their terms of use which I agreed to follow when signing up and did not follow in the end"- That is the bottomline of it, no big deal there. Switch to PSN or play online with your PC... OR you can just name yourself BOBWHATEVER or try to get away with it again and try ZACK M.D1CK, pick your choice, but don´t complain about it... or do complain... it´s a free world.

pro, underground & family.
you would think since your profile has your birthdate you would be able to play your games with mature people.
not possible on xbox! Its for kids.

Hi gamers, I'm back & happy July 4th!!!
I haven't been able to play or download 2.40 because I'm away on vacation shooting guns & drinking beer!
I'm sad the update has been pulled, it has to be frustrating that the xbutts can still talk crap for a few more days but I suspect we will be up & running before e3 or we will slap around a couple of zombie xbutts until the fall!
it sux that I'm in the know sooner than everyone else because it feels like I'm waiting forever.
on the bright side of things: ps3 rocks & xbox still six really badly!
I'll be back in new York city Sunday & hopefully 2.40 can be dl'ed.
as for siligon, that xbutt has been pretending to be a droid for weeks to get bubbles & I'm happy his gamer depression is xposed!
who would wanna talk to him online anyway? I don't even think the children on live sent him any friend request!

I don't like waiting either but when I turn on my ps3 & see what's available & how much I can do, it is impossible for to even think that I should play on xbox live & pay for it & have to deal with its mini DVD games, hassles & mandatory microtransactions a.k.a. Leftover m$ points, ads & clutter.
