Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise out on Sep 5

Microsoft has today announced the September 5 European release of Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise, the sequel to the acclaimed garden management sim from Rare.

The game will feature over 30 new piñata species, expanded co-op play and multiple gameplay modes designed to get the whole family involved.

I hope this one sells better than the first. It really deserves more attention for the completely unique concept, addictive gameplay and the seriously wrong, in a good RARE way, sense of humour.

And whilst the first is closing in on 1.5m it took bundling, price cuts and over a year and a half to get there. Here's hoping VP2 can do a hell of a lot better. :)

Downloaded the demo of viva pinata on xbox live a few weeks ago and i have to confess that it was very unique but above all else addictive.

Hope the sequel does a lot better this time around.
