Fatalities Confirmed for Mortal Kombat vs DC

Well, finally, the fatalities are back.

"GameSpot: Have you made any more headway on the fatality versus finishing

Ed Boon: Yes we have. All of the MK characters and all of the DC villains will have fatalities. The DC heroes who don't kill that often will have brutalities that will function just like fatalities but don't actually kill the opponent."

I can finally perform fatality on Superman using Lex.

It's really cool that at least MK cast has fatalities. DC villains could have really sick ones too (I'm looking at Joker :D ).

Cuz a ton of people dropped interest in MK without FATALITY! Let alone that they were crossing universes... IMHO This is great news.

pharmd, so true. Now at least the game partially deserves the name MK.

Nevers, yeah. A lot of people lost interest in the game after initial news but this might bring some back.
As for villains, no one is announced yet but hopefully Joker and Doomsday make it (I'd love to crushSuperman with Dooms!).

awww mkred is happy again. MK vs DC can only be played on a playstation 3 due to the 360 silly d pad structure. When i push down sometimes it goes left and right WTF. Plus only the playstation 3 can fully realize Midway's vision for a 4d MK game

Interesting when I first heard of MK vs DC I was like most of you WTF. Now as new details come out I get a little more interested. Fatalities is defiantly a plus in my book. This is on my list but defiantly its leaning more towards a rent. Lets hope it turns out great and gets some solid reviews. At the very least lets hope for a demo.

Well, even though I'm still hating Midway for betraying fans that have been waiting for ages for a true Mortal Kombat sequel and were promised a dark and gritty next-gen MK...
Lack of fatalities was BEYOND insulting. This is definitly a plus in my book too.

I'm with you Fishy Fingers. With Unreal Engine 3 that the game uses, it could have been goriest and most satisfying MK to date...

Still, some fatalities is better than no fatalities. Also, Boon as confirmed that after this he will make a proper and pure MK game. One that will push the limits of M rating.

Early days, but I think I'm going to need a demo.

~side note~ played MK1 on PS3 last night against some guy online, I like to think I'm "alright" at it, beat me 25-3 o_O

Don't know where was the link but it was in one of the early interviews. Crispy Gamer or GT interview.

Also, good work on MK1. I can hardly win against normal AI let alone real opponents. So much for someone with MK in his username :)

xionpunk, I think he's using one of the MK games from fan community. They have released all original 3 with multiplayer as fan projects.

Yup. Modern Superman is pretty godlike, but old school Superman used to get phased by things like tear gas. So maybe it's old school Sups. He was pretty weak in the Bruce Timm cartoons too.

that DC Heroes who don't kill will NOT perform "Fatalities" but will have "Brutalities". He doesn't mentions that you can't perform fatality ON DC Heroes.

I guess if it's T rating, then they're going to have stuff like Scorpion burn people, Sub-Zero freeze and shatter (with no blood), and other similar things. Personally, I want to see Superman punch somebody and send them over the horizon. That would be epic.

There will have to be two games of MK vs SF

MK vs SF made by Midway with Fatalities because it is a MK game and
SF vs MK made by Capcom with the New SFIV animation no Fatalities because it is a SF game. This is the only way I see this working out for both parties.

Back on topic. YAY! Fatalities are back...somewhat. Good news indeed.

oks, this game is back on "must buy" list.

I decided not to buy at first when i heard no fatalities.

hhmm.... now what about soul caliber? still not a must buy for me....i own a 360, and i want to be able to unlock or download Vador, so I can have matches of Vador vs. Yoda.... and i'm sure if you own a ps3, you'd want to download or unlock Yoda so you can whip his little green butt all over the place using Vador.

Those two are two of the most definitive characters in the star wars universe plus one represents the 360 and the other a ps3.
