Great news Mass Effect, Too Human & now GoW!(although it seems like i'v read this a while back) i know i'm missing a couple but i cant remember. It will be hard for Sony to compete when it takes them one and a half to two years longer to develope a AAA that will be able to compete with MS quality tittles.

Woo Hoo!!! Great stuff, but kinda knew they had to do a sequel(s). Just onto 5th act now, game is just incredible, played through the 1st act on co-op, hardcore level!!! man just amazing!!!!!!!!!! BBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!!!!!!

I`d have to say 2008 at the earliest for part 2 so they have enough time to produce another example of a game done oh so very right, and not have to worry about the engine so much, just little tweaks here and there. Im hoping there will be some formal announcement soon!

Im all for the PS3 dont get me wrong but unless you have played this particular game, regardless if you hate the 360 or not, i don`t think your in a position to vote lame on something that quite clearly in not. Yep I want more characters/game modes on multiplayer, like something goofy like your a berserker and you got 4 guys against you on the other team and your goal is to kill them, obviously! I want to see a better and longer story campaign with a little more in depth story and that's it otherwise the game is amazing, a trilogy will be F'ING awesome! I hope next christmas although I know thats a lil to soon, but all the key peices, characters and everything are already in place and designed

I finished gears today on hardcore and to be honest i wasn't impressed.I am not gonna start a review or anything ,but i found it a chore to be constantly repeating the same thing over and over. It started to remind me of a platform game, you know,Fall off the ledge and repeat.So much potential,so little inspiration. Still rate the graphics though. Just my opinion as a 360 owner.

I can agree there were some parts that had me swearing like a trucker, but the nice thing is that if you really have trouble then bring a friend in on your campaign and use a little real human AI to get you past it. It is really the only way anyone is going to have a chance against RAAM on insane setting. What I would like to see them due is give the user the control of the "cover" ability. There were times I needed to run like hell all over the place and kept bumping into objects and inadvertantly go into cover mode which totally screwed me up. I would like them try out a left trigger hold button press combo to enable it only when you truely want it. Other than that the game deserves all the credits it is receiving.

What about all you Sony fans with your Devil May Cry, Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Ratchet and Clank, Jak, and Final Fantasy series?

I just hope they don't release the third installment as a prequel. That would suck, they always do. And in prequels, they somehow always end up having really sweet weapons and somehow that "technology" didn't exist during the time of the first installment.

Liked Gears (not love). Here are my thoughts:

1. Less linearty in the levels. In almost ALL the levels there is simply one way to go.

2. Invest in a story. Graphics get attention, story draws gamers in.

3. Two letters the guys at Epic need to learn...A.I. In Gears it was more ABSENT intelligence. Down again Dom is useless in the game and actually detracted from the experience. If they aren't going to invest in A.I. give us squad control. That way I can pull dumb ass Dom out of harms way.

4. Some meat. 8 hours is simply not enough. Give us a robust and engaging campaign that involves story builds, and twists, as well as the action. We all know Epic can do action. Can they do story?

Don't let my remarks indicate that Gears is a bad game, far from it. it is just that once you get past the sleek next gen sheen, you really start to the see the areas that need improvement.

thats the manager of our local Gamestop/eb games told me that sunday as I was buying my Wii, he told me that GOW was going to be a trilogy,he told me that but I couldnt post it with out any proof so I never mentioned it.an that MS was going to use GOW to take the place of halo.halo 3 is set to be released next november, then gears 2 the following november.he said that MS is setting there biggest games to combat sonys biggest games during the x-mas holiday!!so dont expect halo 3 til 11/07 an gears 2 til 11/08.

I enjoy the multiplayer too much.. Now, I'm on Act 2 and I think it rocks. I may not go back to it, though, as for my playing time I enjoy the chainsaw way too much on multiplayer... gCM
