UT3 for 360 to Feature Split-Screen, Exclusive Content, and GoW2 Preview

Apparently, to make up for the lack of user-generated content, Epic has thrown in a few exclusive bits to the Xbox 360 version of Unreal Tournament III. Oh, and the disc will also contain a sneak peek at Gears of War 2.

I agree, but at least they are throwing 360 owners some kind of bone. I thought it was funny the line "I’ll be the judge of how thrilled I am about your game, thanks."

i made a comment on this article on riptens website (under Guy Incognito) about the acronyms and i got blasted from a person dubbed "360fan" and the author of the article Dan Landis. Dan says and i quote "I’ve never seen anyone in the history of forever abbreviate Gears of War like GeoW. You’re crazy, Guy." So i went on to explain how the video game media coined the acronym GoW for God of War, and all the rest that goes with that story.

EPIC said they will have mods in, whatever it takes (probably just in DLC packs, where they choose the best of the best). I'm not getting the game anyways, but I played it at a friend's who has PS3 and you can barley get into a match, and don't even start on modded matches, those are next to impossible to start a good match up on.

like 95% of ut3 owners have no clue that mods exist let alone how to install them. you'd be suprized how many gamers lack basic reading coprehension skills.

DLC packs of pre-made mods are unlikely. Even with the tools being Epics, any maps or mods are property of whoever made them, so they'd have to clear it with numerous people just to get these maps and character mods and what not. Too much logistically to think about.

You are laughing at the PS3 version? Why? I think I'd take mods and k/b & mouse support over splitscreen and 'exclusive content' any day of the week. Guess thats just me though...

STilll, props to Epic for giving 360 owners something extra to make up for the limitations imposed by Microsoft.
