Alone In The Dark: Done

Atari have just announced that development is complete on their highly anticipated action survival game Alone in the Dark, and the game is on track to ship this June on Xbox 360, and this Autumn on PS3.

Developed by Eden Games, Alone in the Dark aims to change what gamers expect from action games with a ground-breaking reinvention of the classic franchise which debuted in 1992 and created the survival horror genre. Atari say that the game re-imagines the genre with engrossing cinematic presentation, compelling gameplay challenges and a thrilling narrative story arc.

I never get companies who delivers a game on one platform months after other platforms. Why even bother then. The game is going to sell so much less with a late release on PS3.

I know I would have gotten it on day one. But when it comes out it's going to feel old and unattractive.

LOL.I will say it is you but you maybe right.It looks really amazing and it looks like i will be buying it on day one.

Also there are alot of games releasing this month Ninja gaiden2,MGS4,Top spin 3,Civilization revolution and Alone in the dark4.

And also Alone in the dark 4 wont be concerning PS3 owners till autumn so that could also be another factor why most people especially PS3 fans are not so interested in this game.

i'm really excited for this game.
i don't really mind the wait for the PS3 version since June and July is a little too SOLID for me ;P

edit: @green, i don't think a release date factors in on whether or not someone is interested in a game. i'm a ps3 owner and i've always wanted this game. some people just aren't genuinely interested in some games. not every game appeals to everyone.

From what I've been reading lately, devs aren't doing the PS3 versions any favors by releasing them on the PS2 as well.

It seems like they are making a really good looking PS2 and a bad looking PS3 game.

I hear Iron Man was the first of this new PS2/PS3 trend.

I've been looking forward to picking this up for the 360.
