Battlefield: Bad Company Trophy Secret exposed?

A member of the Gametrailers forum, rEeee, has come across something interesting while linking his EA account and his PSN account. He was able to see his stats online; which included a list of trophies, which can presumably be found in the game...

antway there were medals and ribbons on the pc battlefield game 2142, and if you went on the site you can see them, but the fact that they called them trophy's when they are clearly ribbons might have something to do with ps trophy's

that In-Game XMB is coming out in the coming up weeks.

Also, I think Im going to buy this game....1st BATTLEFIELD I've played.....The only thing I hate about the game is the control scheme....other then that the game is fukin awesome....

^^agreed...developers not allowing customizable controls for a shooter is the most frustrating thing about the genre for consoles imo...you get used to one game, then some other game has it completely different just to be different...feck that...let us decide what the hell buttons we want to fire, crouch, throw a grenade, etc...

and what the hell is with holding down L3 to sprint?...run_retarded.exe

everything else though is pretty good imo...excellent sound (really makes it feel like you are out in the middle of a gigantic battle)...the destructibility is decent, but it would have been much nicer for it to be entire physics based like Crysis or Far Cry 2...those 2 games wreck BC in that regard...

will be a great game worth looking into...I will wait on it though, only because of MGS4...that will pretty much eat my summer...

Well this is true, i was in the Battlefield website and saw the trophy thing, if you click on the trophies it appears the image of the trophy with the requirement...it would be good if someone that have a 360 and have played the battlefield demo, go to the website and see if the trophy thing is only for the ps3 version

they got metals ribbons and trophies

7 - I tried linking my 360 account but I keep getting "System Error. Please try again later."
But I can confirm that the PS3 one with trophies is the real deal.

NVM. adriano999 is right. These are just BFBC's version of COD4 challenges. These trophies are present in the 360 version too.

And it doesn't mean that they will be trophies on the XMB. (I was in the beta)

But I'm also not ruling out the possibility of it.

Doubt it AstroZombie1, its a demo and I'm sure they will clear the stats so that everyone is on a level playing field. Good thing I've already gotten to level 4 so I can automatically unlock the Uzi when I get the game.

Maybe it's because I've never played a battlefield game before but i'm actually impressed with what Dice has done with the game, one of my biggest issues with most FPS these days is that if you shoot a tree with a rocket launcher it does nothing to it, or if you slap some C4 onto the wall of a building and blow it up you just get a big black stain.

Destructible environments might not be new but the only other game to use it this much was the Red Faction series and I loved those games.Plus they made the single player pretty intense with all the explosions all over the place, trees crashing, bunkers being blow to bits, it just had a realistic "war" feel to it.

Both This demo and The Civ Rev demo surprised me quite a bit.

Since going on the demo I think its a brilliant game, much more action and things to do, I mean explodable scenary is like wow. I reckon this could maybe beat COD4.

Even if it is just an ingame trophy system it still shows that they have a trophy system in place for whenever PS3 unleashes support for them. Has anyone with a 360 tried the same thing to see if the same trophies show up as achievements?
Whatever this is, i have to say that i was really impressed with the demo's multiplayer. it managed to keep the feeling of Battlefield 2 on the pc, and the squad system was interesting. more game modes are needed, but i played gold rush for hours!
