Alan Wake Update

"I can't say enough about my anticipation for Alan Wake despite not having much of anything new on it since X06. (yes the one from 2006) I contacted Remedy Entertainment to try to dig up something new on the title. The word I received was that the game was still kicking strong.

'Right now we are fully focused on development and not ready to talk more about Alan Wake. We're doing well and the game is looking awesome, but it is time to labor away and to keep our nose to the grind. The game has a lot of potential and it deserves to be crafted into all it can be. Glad to see it's not turning into vaporware (as some have feared).

Take all the time you need, Remedy...but please finish it soon. This is definitely on my "must-buy" list.

This is probably THE most anticipated 360 title left (that i know of) that i'm waiting to be released. This and Ninja Gaiden 2. A. Wake should be the new Alone in the Dark. But better.

I guess if Remedy isn't ready to talk about the game yet then it's still far off from being released. There's not even a timeline for this games release. The last time I read something about Alan Wake's release date, it will come out, "when it's finished" and god knows how long that will take.

My guess is that Alan Wake wont be out until mid-late 2009. As a PS3 owner Alan Wake is one of the only Xbox 360 titles that I've actually been interested in learning more about. I give my Kudos to Microsoft for developing a game different from it's current game library.

Remedy needs to come out with a Max Payne 3, that would be just sick. A 3rd person Max Payne game with a cover system like Uncharted or Gears of War combined with the slow-motion Bullet Time sounds pretty nice.

"You said the exact same thing about Ninja Gaiden 2." And, you said the same thing about LAIR and HAZE, that they were going to crush the 360. "Look how that turned out LOL." So, I guess that makes it even then, eh?

This game simply looks great, the little we've seen from it. And, from the little information, sounds great. Can't wait.

Max Payne 1&2 took 7 years for these guys.

But I imagine that building a much larger and more detailed game from the ground up on "next gen" might be a slightly longer process.

and they've been working on this since 2004-05.
so i feel that 2009 is a definite.

because if it goes after 2009 they will probably have to put it on the next next gen system.

if the 360 had more games like this; it wouldn't have any games. this was announced in '05 and here in '08 there is no news as to what's going on or when it's coming out.

edit: but if you're talkig about the reported storyline then yea, it sounds real interesting.

It was annouced and I think a demo was shown at E3 2005/2006. They said they were aiming for a 2007 release at first but they decided to delay it to 2008.

Just wait for E3 2008, more information will be coming on many games.
