5 - Battlefied 2 was the cause for many a lateness at work...

I dont think I have ever had as much fun in a multiplaer war game as I did with Battlefield2 I pray this 1up's the last 1.

based on the beta you will be severely disappointed. as a BF2 fan (and yes many late nights with this bad boy) it just wasn't nearly as fun.

hopefully they made the necessary changes but the beta was terrible

I haven't followed any news on this new one.

I will never forget the epic battles especially in the desert, there was just so much you could do, also that damn broken bridge stage with the tank stand-off's, so many strategies, so many ways to die lol.

I have high hopes. But we'll see. Has the potential to be great...but then again the BF series has been on a steady decline since BF42, the first one.

Main thing I'm excited about is seeing how expansive the destructible environments are and what kind of impact this can have on gameplay (online).

One thing im hoping they fix online is dealing with the insane amount of glitchers, team killers and people for some odd reason enjoy ranking down. The team killers and people who rank down is the main reason I stopped playing BF2. I got tired of finding rooms that has people that actually wanted to play a fair game.

Everything I've heard about the beta has been pretty negative - I didn't play it, but the news was disappointing...Frontlines wasn't impressive...I wonder what we have to do to get a good Big team Battle type game.

Ahhhh. Another shooter.... boring. I'm not buying another FPS until Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 or until another shooter can impress me as much as Killzone 2 has. I'm only going to drop $59.99 on a shooter worth the money and with MGS4 coming out in June, who the heck needs this run of the mill shooter.

Go play with your cardboard guy in green tinted screens with ps2 textures. If you were old enough, you would have know about Battlefield franchise on pc. This game is what we BF series lovers wanted for consoles. This comes with good bit of environmental destructability and much better graphics than ur Green Gear solid.

I wouldn't buy mgs on any platform. Bot a 2$ disc of mgs 3 for ps2 tried for 20mins then done with it.

3.2 - wow, XBOXFTW, somebody obviously didn't get their hands on the beta

Because from what everyone who has played the beta has said, the game was awful. I never was a big fan of this series to begin, but this game looked to make me a believer. After hearing what everyone said about the beta my anticipation for this game all but disappeared. I think it goes to show the games sucks because after the beta there was no more hype for it.
