I think I have to disagree with you just a little bit on your points. GeOW2 will have less of an impact in it's multiplayer front from the games you mention than what Resistance 2 will feel. I say that because GeOW2 is obviously a 360 exclusive and R2 is a PS3 exclusive.

I know your saying "duh stupid" at the moment, but most of the games you mentioned, i.e. Socom, MG4 online, LBP, are Sony exclusives and will be eating into the Sony user base. Its not that GeOW2 won't feel an impact from those games being released, but most people do not own both systems and thus the level of competition in software sales will be minimal. 360 has a lot of games releasing this year that are quality, however they are divergent from the other styles of games that will be quality titles. R2 has to compete against more titles that are similar in genre on it's platform than GeOW2 will have to on it's platform. This is a major reason of why KZ2 was delayed.

It's not that either one wouldn't sell, it's that they have to inevitably share the same install base in competing for software sales.

Honestly, I think R2 is going to sell really well and it's competition on the PS3 is not as strong as some may suspect. Really though, that will depend on how it is reviewed and released though. Looking forward to it either way.

where there is always the needs to COMPARE, so one can feel better about his Console of choice. Most gamers that have all 3 consoles will appreciate both games, then again this is not about RFOM 2. We'll see this in Every Gears 2 article forward.

If your not getting a 360 or hate anything MS, why should your opinion matter on certain subjects at hand?

Now on the Subject at hand: Were learning more and more about this game and it's months away. It all sounds great though, I knew EPIC would improve the gameplay. 5X5 is the way to go with this game, as far as multi-player goes. I just want a memorable campaign.

gears is not a FPS...

But i do believe it has a chance of pullin off best graphics. All the stuff i just read in this article makes me believe i will be playin this game a majority of the time. To this day gears one is my most played game out of my PS3 AND 360 games. The single player plus co-op is extremely fun to me. And even tho the multiplayer only has a couple of gametypes, and only 4 on 4. Its still the most fun to me.

Cant wait for this game.

This is confirmation that the "rumored features" of multiplayer are real. The other stories with the features were more of rumors:

"The executions on each weapon will vary. The Sniper Rifle can, according to NeoGAF's report from X360 magazine, be used as a club to beat opponents to death."

Resistance 1 had 40 players online without LAG

Gears had 2 player co-op WITH LAG

that lagbox360 cant even run games at 1080p native

and GTA4 looks better on PS3 despite being an X360 port

However multiplat games that matter are all better on PS3 --COD4,DMC4 and BURNOUT

Like most multi-console games, any review would inevitably have to come down to which system is better, and for this instance, the PS3 winds up winning out just slightly. It's not in the gameplay department, because DMC4 plays the same regardless of which system that you play on. Nor is it in the visual department, because visual issues are virtually negligible. For example, the 360 has some harder edges to some characters during cutscenes, and a little more screen tearing than the PS3 at times. The PS3 can be a wee bit darker during some scenes, though. Both systems show off a certain amount of render passing that pops into focus on sweeping vista shots, but they occur at the same time on each system and are quickly dismissed. However, observing these differences will only come via frame-by-frame analysis of each game side-by-side. Even then, you're still receiving an incredible visual experience.

No, the edge comes in the fact that the PS3 installs a large amount of game files to the hard drive, dramatically reducing load times between stages and cinematics. I've timed the game on both systems numerous times, and each time has been consistently in the PS3's favor. Transitions to gameplay from starting menus are relatively close, frequently within half a second or so of each other, but when you're loading up a cutscene or having another pause in the action, the 360's times are easily three times that of the PS3.

I went there. quick question nasim....if there are so many problems on gta4 for the xbox...where is the patch for either online problems or the freezing problem on the xbox? dont you think if there were so many problems the xbox version would get a patch first since you know....its easier to go through certification on xb...cmon..answer this douche, and not with your usual spam.
