For myself, im glad this is getting released soon after the Japanese got it. For Blue Dragon, we had to wait quite a while...

2 - Awesome timing!
I bought this game on the weekend and am on disk 2. ill buy this dlc day 1. Lost odyssey has shown me that not all JRPGs suck as much as i remember. Gonna pick up blue dragon when im done with this

Anyone have some Ps2 jrpg suggestions?

Ive never played FFX so i think that might be a good place to start Ps2 wise.

Odin's Sphere
Valkyrie Profile 2

Pretty good JRPG's that are a little out of the norm

2.2 - Good Start
Persona 3 FES for the PS2 would be a good one to pick up that's fairly new.

3 - Fantastic
I need a reason to pick this game up again. I put in at least 60hrs into it and loved every single bit. Best next-gen JRPG I've played.

3.4 - I probably would have got by at 60 hours,
but 15 hours in the temple of enlightenment really got those overall hours up there. Well I did come out with Kaim and party at level 91 and was able to whip through the rest of the game, except for the immortal one.

Where's the "Now The Game Is Fun" DLC

Seriously, Lost Odyssey was an absolute exercise in boredom for me. I had more fun with Blue Dragon (at least it looked good)

5 - So many games and not enough time...
Was trying to finish this one before GTA4. I got pretty deep into disc 4. Then had to stop to play GTA$ now i'm 55% through GTA4, I wanted to go back to this one and finish it real quick, but I really need to focus on GTA4 because Ninja Gaiden 2 is about to run my gaming, I love this gen theybare putting out tons of great games only thing is i'm starting to realize how downtime is important. Its like halfway through the year and there are about 8 games I want to buy.

6 - I'm stillplaying this one..90 Hrs in
I sorta side tracked and was doing SideQuest..I won't have time to go back to this game with all the other games coming out.

I'm at "Numara Atoll" on the 4th Disk..I luv this Fn Game and the Music.

Best RPG since FFX, FF12 was whack and Dry.

6.1 - Samething happened to me ...
Its funny I went through most of the game maybe 2-3 little quests. Once I got near (what I believe is close to the end) I just started exploring, I think everybody has their own special super something to get, I got these 2 super spells I wont say for who incase you havent got them yet. This is the best Jrpg of this gen and is truly better than the last couple FFs. I know the fanboys dont want to hear that and i'm a FF fan but you gotta give credit were credit is due.

6.2 - Agree guys...
This is easily the best next gen JRPG yet and it's nice to see it did well in America. The graphics and music are beautiful and the combat quirks make it more interesting than most.

Eventually I will get to this game but I do want to play it. It looks like the best JRGP to come out this gen. How does it compare to FFXII?

7.1 - ff12 has the better mechanics and gameplay
but lost odyssey beat it in the most important factor.

storyline and characters you immerse yourself with. in ff12, i didn't give a damn about my party except balthier, since they were so monochromatic and everything was uneventful.

FF12 had a lot of political plots, intricate ordeals, and colorful conversations...too bad your party was nowhere near when this was all happening. you always heard about it as word of mouth in game, while you spent 4 hours in a dungeon for a 5 min cutscene, then 3 hours in another. repeat repeat repeat.

FF12 was a decent rpg, but a bad final fantasy.

8 - Nice
Just started playing the game this week, which I was long overdue for. I'm really enjoying it so far, and will be getting that DLC when it comes out.

I've been playing Lost Odyssey for around 80+ hours and I still love it.

I'm glad to see this content finally come to other countries besides Japan. Many Lost Odyssey fans have been waiting a long time for this content and I'm proud to say, it's almost here.

I will certainly download this on friday. I can't wait.

10 - Too much to play and more on the way...
I last left my intrepid explorers outside some temple (on disc 4)where there were rumored to be items of great power within battling lil' thieving monkeys and giant toads that smashed the life from ya... then GTA4 came out and I haven't had the energy to get back into skill-leveling system of Lost Odyssey, damnit. I love it but it's a lot of work. Really great game so far but I don't know if I'll have the time for this additional content for a very long time.

12 - Renewed Hope
This game changed my perception of turn based RPGs forever. Not since Legend of the Dragoon have I liked, or have been interested in playing one, the last being FF X-2 which my little sister bought and was bored with. Didn't do anything for me either
