Call of Duty 4 Wishlist

"Since the game's release in November, Call of Duty 4 has taken up a good portion of my life. In my personal view, the game is the epitome of a modern shooter, and is currently the most enjoyable game to play with a group of friends online; and that is across all genres and platforms. While it may lack some of social networking features Halo 3 brought to the table last September, it has made up for it with some of the industry's best gameplay. That is why the game effectively did what we all considered to be the impossible at one point or another; it stole away Halo 3's top spot on the Xbox LIVE rankings. And the game fully deserved it.

The simple gist is this: Call of Duty 4 was last year's largest surprise, and is in my opinion, the most complete shooter to come across this generation. Still, there is no such thing as a perfect game (unless that game is called the "Ocarina of Time") and there are some features that I wish Call of Duty 4 would have boasted. It may be hard to ask for more to possibly come out of such a complete pack, but after playing the game to death, I'm starting to run out of fuel in the tank."

Rather large list and I agree with most of the choices on there, except I don't really think any of them would make Call of Duty 4 that much better; but then again, it's already ask for anything to be much better than Call of Duty 4.

I agree with most of the comments made in that article. While it is an excellent game, there is still room for improvement, but i figure that we will have to wait until the next inifinity ward game for that.

4 - How about...
...if they stop ripping us off with their pathetic DLC maps? The PC guys are not only getting better maps for free, but some of the maps in the console DLC are being replicated then IMPROVED upon by PC map makers. Its a freaking joke.

I'm sure the mod tools exists to "cook" maps for the console version. Just implement it like Epic did with UT3.

what needs to be done right now is the ability to customize matches. face it, grenade launchers, 3X nades, martyrdom, last stand, and the P90 are for noobs- at least in hardcore mode, which is all i play. they are way too powerful and make a horrible person just as good as a seasoned veteran. it shouldn't be like that. we should at least have the choice of what we want to be allowed in the match. make it so we can turn stuff off (i.e. air strikes, choppers, UAV, etc.) or disable certain guns or perks (i.e. P90, noob tubes, LMG's, whatever). just imagine, if you were able to make a game that was pistols and/or shotguns only- that's like creating a whole new gametype. there's no reason they couldn't make that possible within the next month with minimal effort.

which leads me to my next suggestion, new gametypes. at least add one more game type. people can only play Domination, Sabotage, S and D, or FFA so many times without getting bored. CTF would be incredibly easy to implement and probably wouldn't even require much balancing. just look at TF2 and how they added another gametype where the team has to push a cart along a track. IW needs to get creative and release at least one or two more gametypes. also, if there were more levels, it might make it less boring.

which leads me to my last suggestion, MORE LEVELS. many games are now allowing users to make levels and then rate them so people know which ones are worth playing. i think LBP is going to have a system like this. either allow people to download levels like UT3 on the PS3 or have some sort of editor that allows players to at least "tweak" the existing levels. heck, with the money they made off the DLC, they should put more of their own levels out.

more maps / id love some tanks and all tank stages / and maybe some type of grappling hook to get to higher places

the only thing i dont like is there not a enoughh difference between enemys {the amount of clips ive wasted on friendlys is a joke}

if it wasnt for the green and red writing on there heads id be lost

9 - Kill Streak Reward Progression
3 Kills – UAV
5 Kills – Dogs (select area on map like Airstrike, dogs will only attack enemies in their area)
7 Kills – Airstrike
9 Kills – Helicopter
12 Kills – Advanced UAV (See people w/ UAV jammer) OR Mortar Fire (not sure which, Mortar is too much like Airstrike)
15 Kills – Ammunition Drop (Select area on map like Airstrike and it drops crates of ammo. Could be a fun way to lure some easy kills)
18 Kills – S.A.M. Support (Other teams Airstrikes and Helicopters will be shot down, until player dies)
21 Kills – Tank Support (specific maps only, would require stinger in multiplayer)

You should be able to use all of the rewards you have unlocked, not the whole “if you don’t use you airstrike before your helicopter you’re screwed” idea. Being able to mix up their order would bring a lot more strategy to the game. For example, use and ammo drop, followed by an airstrike or dog attack in the same place. I don’t think I will need to explain what will happen.
After so many kills I don’t like the idea of being rewarded with something that gets more kills FOR you. These are geared more toward helping you show off your talent, take what you know and apply it to the way the game works. It’s the idea of playing smarter, not harder. Tell me what you think.
