Does New 360 Banjo Kazooie Deserve All The Hate?

it certainly has no love. I don't know about hate tho.

It's AIMED for kids more or less.

SO, for those xbox owners that have their hopes up for this game, then hope no more. It's a average game at best and I don't think it's going to improve much.

Edit: lol at comparing LittleBigPlanet. He couldn't admit how much Better and more FUN LittleBigPlanet is to this. He just said that "it's a safe bet."

In general, gamers don't really like change. For a very highly anticipated PLATFORMING game to emerge as a 70% vehicle game it will leave a lot of people disappointed. In time people will come around to it but most people (myself included) would have preferred a good ol traditional platformer

Folks would have complained with the new direction and they would have also complained if they added nothing new just giving it a next-gen face lift.

no matter how hard they try, a true platformer (like BK was back in the day) will always be better than a kart racer (or whatever BK is now)

no i haven't, that's why i said that now matter how hard Rare try they can't make Banjo as good with with a vehicle focus than if it was a pure platformer with just a few vehicle sections

Jak X wasn't nearly as good as Jak 3

Crash Nitro Kart wasn't nearly as good as Crash Bandicoot

still doesn't detract from the fact that a running around, jumping and whatnot platformer will always work better than a fly around in some car and shoot Mario statues

A big problem with this article. First off all the nature of Lego type games is the building process of your creation. There is a trial and error that accompanies the game. It sounded like to me that the writer didn't build his vehicle well enough, and perhaps had he had more time would have created something worthwhile.

A side note to hear that the game is 80% vechicle is just an estimate, and at this stage of development I'm pretty sure there is more of the title we have yet to see. I'm not about to jump on the bandwagon of hate. If people can wait for the lacklusterness of Killzone 2 to get better than Banjo deserves the same cushion. From what I have seen of the game, it looks phenomenal and fun to play. So I'll gladly wait for a demo and a chance to judge for myself.

Unless you are playing LittleBigPlanet right now, you can't say someones OPINION about a game is wrong.

What if LittleBigPlanet does have some error here and there and isnt that great... thats why developers work on it and ask opinions and take there time. I bet if the released LittleBigPlanet now, it would probably suck cause it might have flaws.

Any way, the new Banjo most definitely will have critics, every game does!! (and no, the aren't fanboys!) They are, as the word says, CRITICS! Never say "no one can criticize LittleBigPlanet" I can if a want to! cause its my right (I love LittleBigPlanet by the way).

as a 360 owner and a big fan of nintendo back in the day, i'm VERY disappointed.

I bought a wii just to play 3 of my fav franchises because I always know they are going to be good: Mario, Zelda, and Metroid.
Buying BAnjo for the 360 was a day one purchase because I played the first two and loved them when i was a kid, but not now.

why try to fix something that wasn't broken?!

kinda reminds me of all the 007 games that came out after Goldeneye....one disappointment after the next.
