With Sony Europe's recent revelation that the PlayStation 3 had outsold the Xbox 360 in Europe, PALGN posed the question to Michael Ephraim whether the PlayStation 3 has eclipsed the sales of the Xbox 360 in Australia?

ps3 with the bravia deal.

and yeah a lot of people her in Australia who have PS2's are looking to get a PS3 soon, more around the end of the year though.

but there are a LOT and i mean a LOT of teenagers who have xbox 360's here, most that own a console own a 360.

but the PS3 is starting to be seen as not only a mature gamers console but a teen one 2.

I mean there is no way PS3 WOULD NOT OUTSELL X360 2:1 or more in EUROPE

Salutations to a fellow Aussie!

Hmm I jumped the ps3 purchased before they announced the BRAVIA deal. I was a unhappy chap for a while. But none the less, a good purchase since I ended up buying a Projector ^^. I dont watch TV, and only play the odd game and watch an odd movie. So it was the perfect combo. For me that is.

Yeah, pretty much everyone I know who is interested in video games here in Sweden and in other places around Europe are planning to get a ps3, none 360. Granted, some of them already have a 360, but most don't and they don't know it exists. PS truly is king in Europe, the brand is incredibly well-known and trusted, unlike MS which seems to cause suspicion no matter what they do around here.

Well it's good to see my fellow Australians are starting to stop acting like stupid stupid idiots and buying PS3s as well. Not that buying a 360 is a stupid idea, it's probably a good idea, but it seemed so many people thought the ps3 was crap.

I guess now that it's a little cheaper and much more games, the ps2 install base is transforming to a ps3 install base. I'm actually one of them, I have a ps2 and getting a ps3 very soon (soon as I get some bloody money).

I can't believe People gave you disagrees, this just proves this site is run by the Fanboys, as an owner of all of the three current new system each one is worth while and I play all of them equally and I bought the PS3 when it came out and it was $999 and Blu-ray Movies were a second thought. up here in North America im starting to notice evry1 starting to look at the ps3. at the beginning of the school year everyone had a xbox 360 and i mean everyone. Since January, i found out my friend had been playing ps3 call of duty 4 with like 5 other friends and of course we played together. Now more of my friends are getting ps3s. just the about a month ago my friend Antonio and Herberto bought ps3s and my other friend is looking to get it this summer since i showed him the trailer for mgs4. so it looks like ps3 is becoming more and more popular

myself plus 2 of my friends have a ps3, 4 of my friends have a 360, but 3 other freinds r getting a ps3 because mgs4 is out soon...so its catching on down here. sony has sposored the AFL(Australian Football League)and they always advertise sony bravias and ps3, its hard to miss it
