IGN: Gears of War 2: Bigger, Badder, Etc...

Recently, Microsoft unveiled a demo of the Gears of War 2 single-player campaign to members of the press. At that same time IGN had the opportunity to talk about Gears of War 2 with Kudo Tsunoda, General Manager, Microsoft Game Studios. Though Tsunoda talked in broad terms about the improvements gamers will see in Gears 2, he had some interesting insights.

This game looks cool maybe it will not be an evolution in graphics but the gameplay will be good I like what I heard about the story because I thought I kill all the locus in the first they were suppose to be dead but now there back and good to see more destructible environments and new mechanics to keep things fresh I can’t wait to see how all that implements in the multiplayer it will be good I guest a good year to be a gamer gears 2 and Resistance 2 and next year kill zone 2 don’t forget about MGS 4 and NG 2good games I just hope that I won’t be disappointed with what gears 2 deliver in November I hate it the story in the first it was crap I like the new story come on! I am ready.

Evolution in graphics? how do you know that from an early build. I don't think fans of this title care much for some of the games you mentioned.

1.2 - The Graphics look fine...
if you're talking about textures and bump maps. They can't get any better.

But...the open world itself looks strange to me. Like a toy diorama where you can reach out and touch the cardboard sky and mountains.

That sense of haze and depth is not there.

I've watched all the HD videos and get the same impression each time. Maybe that can be fixed before release.

The game will hopefully be good. The assault level was frantic and the game is on a bigger scale, although it looks like an evolution rather than a revolution but who cares as long as it plays awesome:D Meat shield in multiplayer confirmed:P
