Have you played both? they sure dont feel the same enough to compare them on the same playing field.

You have to be out of you mind if you think Condoleezza Rice visits 360 threads with good intent it was simply a suggestive anti MSFT comment to spark a anti MSFT tone in this 360 thread by turning the topic into a fight negating conversation amoung gamers and loyal 360 fans.

I'm sure there's going to be some kind of 4-player co-op achievement(s) too, as long as there's not a whole bunch of 4-player co-op achievements and they don't emphasize on it too much, I'm cool...but any upgrade to the original is fine by me.

I don't think he said Resistance was "better" because of it. Just that Resistance allowed more. The only part of the statement that really had any opinion in it whatsoever was "at least".

That being said, I really hate when people mention PS3 games in the first post of a news article about 360 games. It's unnecessary.

I'm not sure if you were being serious in your post ^,because if you were,then you might want to pay attention for a second;

Not only was my comment NOT an attack at Gears,seeing as how it's my favorite 360 game and all,it was simply a factual observation between Resistance 2s Co-Op,Gears of War 2s Co-Op,and Gears of War 1s Co-Op.4 player Co-Op IS an improvement to Gears of War 1s Co-Op,as a matter of fact,it wouldn't make much sense NOT to have 4 Player Co-Op in GeOW 2,seeing as how the number of characters necessary for the 4Player Co-Op are already there(Marcus,Baird,Dom,Cole).

Nothing more,nothing less.

I'm not intrested on your take I was pointing out that you were comparing Resistance to gow with your suggestive point and that was to say your PS3 title still out does Gow 2, its that simple don't make this more complex than it really is.

Have to agree with pog (for once). 8 player co-op in gears would be a mess, even with the bigger areas. Just picture 8 players all trying to grab cover in the same area. For a fps, the more the better, but 4 players seems much better suited to gears type of play.

On topic ... Gears 2 should totally rock. It looks like the devs are addressing every issue people had with the first iteration. I honestly can't wait for E3 this year. If it doesn't implode, its going to kick so much ass.

Wow this place went chaotic. Quick question, is it really confirmed or are you guys speculating. I find it hard to believe they would announce gears 4 player coop on some podcast. Gears being their biggest game and all.

That being said, i'm pretty sure 4p coop is already a given

the first gears was screaming out for it...i already know what pals i'll be playing this with aswell.

i dont think they should do any acheivements for the 2nd 3rd or 4th player. everyone should get them once the level is complete! and ofcourse make sure the difficulty level is high enough to challenge the 4 players. it's ok having lots of players, but it gets boring if there's no challenge to complete the missions.
