Difference being you couldnt buy a PC for $150 that would play Gears 1 let alone Gears 2.

The 360 allows you to play the game on a budget (with little sacrifice).

But, I'm lucky enough to have a good rig so if G2 does go to the PC (when really) I'll be getting it day one. But not everyone is quite so fortunate. So they will settle for the XBOX and until the PC version come, so will I. Happily.

Calm down dude Gears was 360's IP it was lended to PC. Still you are saying that 360 is killing. Mass Effect is also coming on PC.
Dude 360 has actually made PC games more in number but gamers are flocking to 360 because of issue. Ijust had a shock with my new PC when I went for GPU with all 7800 and 7900 GTX out of stock. So no more Geforce 7 only Geforce 8 or 9 too me which are having bad value for money currently.
Just think of 3 years earlier and now do you dont see that number of games on PC have increased. Its the gamer that flocking and killing not the 360 its atleast increasing the games on PC.

I don't own a 360 because I have a gaming PC. There's no point. 90% of the good 360 exclusives come to PC. Gears, Bioshock, Mass Effect. I'm getting a PS3 because their exclusives actually tend to be exclusive.

Thats one point but see that 360 has also grabbed some of the earlier PS2 exclusives too and they are not available on PC. So that is in particular good feature and many features of console would be missed and 6 months to 1 year wait is too much if the game still has such hefty requirements that will cost you a upgradation near abt 360.
So the games are intended for hardcore PC gamer I dont think if a new gamer drops in and buy a PC for playing 360 console exclusive will be that happy but yeah if he is PC gamer all along than yeah. Also as such Ps3 +360 will be a cheaper and better option.

Not to mention that exclusive flow is not just from 360 to PC but from PC to 360 (remember Age of Conan , Huxley).

So if you have a PS3 and a gonna upgrade your PC just for playing Gears of war then why dont you get 360 and enjoy it with Fable 2 and NG2 too.

That affects 360 gamers because they find out that a bigger and better version of the game is available on the pc 6 months later. Its a very long debate that yeah but one can't afford to upgrade the pc every 6 months and all that stuff, but don't you think it just kills the meaning of exclusives? Why do you buy multiple console. I bought them for exclusives. Not saying anyone has better or worse exclusives but exclusives are what defines the system. I own both consoles and I bought the 360 to play gears of war. I am not complaining because thats how microsoft business roles, but please don't defend something that you know deep down inside you is wrong;)

at the end dude PC gamers are flocking to 360. Sicne they are getting same type of games with some console titles like DMC4, NG2 and few more. Also at the end the game do run at good frames and good settings. so its not screwing 360 if you are getting the game and PC gamers too.
Also the flow of exclusives is a good point you give some you get some so no disreagards. Also Bioshock was resverse flow in actual. But I played it on 360 so it doesnt matters to me.

Ok sorry, but dont agree with your comment in the slighest.

There are two consoles in this war in my opinion, the Wii is more of a toy in my eyes.

You buy a console for the games available on that system. If you want MGS4 or Killzone your not about to go out and buy a 360 now are you, inless your thick ofcourse.

Now, Gears of War was available on the Xbox before the PC, the game was out a LONG time before it was even anounced for PC let alone made available, in which time i think its fair to say the majority of gamers who owned and cared for the game had played the hell out of it, to the extent they were getting bored of the game.

So the game becomes available on the PC, who gives a shiz? If PC gamers want to go out and spend all there money for afew games, let em. And if PC gamers want to go out and spend all there money on afew games which may look just a tad better? Then let em. All im saying is i dont think spending over £700 just to play the game, and then around £40 for the game itself can justify how much your paying for the slightly better game 7 months down the line.

If anything, its the PC gamers getting ripped here, not 360 owners, they have the game, they love the game, theyve played the hell out of the game and got bored with it already even before the PC version has been released.

And just imagine Sony also had there own OS, your trying to tell me they wouldnt bring out some form of gaming system for it? "PCStation" or some shiz. Just like they enter pretty much every market, we know they most probably would.

And would you consider yourself being ripped of if 7 - 8 months after you bought a game, loved it, played it and then found out it was going to be released with a tad few improvements?

It still doesnt change the fact, that if you want to play the one of the best games to date (the only better CoD4 imo) then you CANNOT buy it on the PS3. You think MS mind which people play it on? They want the $$ $ and so do the guys who make it, they dnt care for us or anyone.

Games still runs on good settings in 360. Yeah PC is powerful but not mine yours might be ofcourse.
So why worry when you are getting so many games now. Then when in 2004 and 2005 PC got thin out of games.

Ur comments are borderline fanboy and should be in open zone. Anyway, gears sucked on pc because it was a console game first. Same as Halo. The console ports and vice versa are never good on the other format. But guess what, 360 is getting way more games first then pc so even if they all end up on pc they are likely not going to be any better.

I'm better off playing on my HDTV laying on the couch with wireless rumble controller in my hand then hunched over the 19" monitor playin on the pc. I stopped upgrading 2 years back and i'm happy that i have saved money not spent on upgrading every six months on a 600$ vga.

dont'be retarded. xbox 360 isn't even as upgradable as the saturn. if your comment is based on the fact that alot of pc games find their way to xbox and viceversa that just shows the new trend for shooters(home to pc) and the developer's needs/wants of putting their games on more than one system. MS doesn't have as many developers for the xbox only. what the hell do you expect.
