Gears of War 2 features weapon specific executions

Listed on the official GoW2 May 2008 fact sheet comes mention that the "overall tone of 'Gears of War 2' is more badass - replete with new weapon-specific executions, chain saw duels and shocking boss fights." Weapon specific executions? SUH-WEET! Maybe that's why the recently released gameplay video didn't show the option to curb stomp Locusts which lead us to think neck-snapping replaced the iconic foot to the back of head, head to the curb move. We can only imagine what other weapon specific executions will be included when Gears ships and what twisted execution the crew over at Epic will think up for the torque bow..."

Its eating you up inside isnt it. The fact that the "magnificient ps3 lineup" is slowly diminishing and now looks sub par. It also must really hurt not being able to play this amazing amazing action packed game.

Meh Gears 2 hype feels forced. Same thing happened with Gears 1. It's always some dude saying : "Chainsaw! Yeah! Badass!" and then everyone is like "Badass! Yeah! Chainsaw!"

EDIT : Just listen to what the guy says at the end of the first gameplay footage. Something like "more badass than ever". How lame...

^^ yea, the manual stabbing with a bow is what i pictured with the torque bow too. That was my favorite weapon in gow1, can't wait to see what they do with it.

I hated how in the first GoW only one gun (chainsaw gun) would do executions. So through most of the game I would only use ONE gun, everything else was boring.

9 - I wanna shoot a "Torque Bow"
at a "Boomers Head" and walk away like "Iron man" in the Movie, after destroying that tank. Best Scene in the Movie..

So this game is gonna be a BEAST huh...

you would not know Ninja Gaiden 2 is coming next month.
Talk about OVERHYPE/OVERKILL.

(It's a MGS4 diversion)

Why talk about a game so much that's months away, when you have a stellar title coming next month?

This game does'nt need hype or promotion.
PC/360 owners are gonna buy it regardless.

Ninja Gaiden, obviously.
But you would'nt konw it if you listened to a "certain" camp.

Gears 2 is the second coming, but has really added (in comparison to NG) anything new.

Ninja Gaiden 1,2,3,3D,Black,Sigma,(3D)2 <------- Hell of a jump.

action games like DMC and NG are never super big titles. Or at least not big discussion subjects. There's just nothing to say about it. And these titles are starting to feel kinda lame compared to other genres.

so much gears hate by fanboys, they are taking what made the original great and improving it with enchanced graphics, more gameplay options and what looks to be a even more kickarse campaign!

it is a sequal right... and thats all sequals do, it worked for god of war, halo, and a bunch of other games... plus im hoping for destructible environtments you can use in multiplayer and SP, they had only a lil bit of that in gears 1 but they got to go all out this time!

BTW KZ2's gameplay wont compare to gears, and ricky that FPS cover stuff has been done before so stop spouting trash (and looks really annoying to me), KZ2 is really pretty (best looking game this gen) but its gameplay isnt above other shooters, deal with it. i mean i liked halo because it was a bit slower pace and all, but after watching KZ2 (even with the sprint option) the guy moves like iron man (when he first came out of the cave suit version I) slow as hell...

anyway gears 2 is looking to be awsome cant wait!!!
