Velvet Assassin Announced for Xbox 360 and PC this Fall

"Gamecock Media Group has announced that 'Velvet Assassin' will be available on the Xbox 360 and PC in fall 2008. Developed by Replay Studios, Velvet Assassin is a stealth-action game set in World War II and is inspired by real-life British Secret Agent Violette Szabo."

for people that dont know this was called sabotage a while ago and since had its name changes.

Also there will be no playstation 3 version, just Xbox 360 and PC.

By the looks of it it could be a sleeper hit

I'm more interested in Pandemic's Saboteur. That looks like a crazy WW2 sand-box.

This... GT posted gameplay footage of Velvet Assassin some time ago and it was pretty bad IMO.

I agree mate. I'll keep an eye on this one but Pandemic is a studio to watch this year with Saboteur, Mercs 2 and LoTR: Conquest all on the release horizon.

Saboteur is still Saboteur. This game was previously Sabotage. "Sabotage" does not equal "Saboteur".

Gamespot, Kotaku, and a few others had it pegged as PC/360/PS3 ever since it was announced (and it was announced for PS3) so what the hell happened?

Sounds like a stealth-action game (maybe similar to MGS4 although it is far to early to suggest it compares to MGS4). Still, they may have decided the niche was already filled and therefore decided to just bring it to the XBOX 360 for now. I suspect that if it does well there will be a port.

the game used to be sabatage not saboteur, which I think some of you may be thinking of, saboteur, was the stealth WWII game, another one i think it might actaully be the same one
