I much prefer "real" screenshots like these to the doctored up, insanely high resolution and AA/post processed "official" photos that game companies put out these days. (God of War 2 had a resolution in release photos to rival a 360 game.)

Gears 2 looks good, but has that nasty plastic U3 engine look still. I just hope the gameplay is better.

8 - Looks great.
My Java/Flash isn't working since I'm on a Ubuntu Live Disk currently, so I couldn't see the video. Judging by the screenies, this game looks great. Thus far, this is the only game that I want to play on 360. Banjo Kazooie should be another one hopefully. Of course, I don't know much about this years 360 line up, but if enough games prove their worth I just may get one.

The locust swarm was just waltzing around like it was a bright, sunny day. Not attacking. Not thinking. Just cannon fodder. Too bad the game looks almost exactly the same as Gears 1. Not really the developer's fault, but still. Against games like Killzone...

Unless your playing this level of the game you wouldn't understand what's going on now would you, also Gears of War 2 beats your lil grayzone 2 any day. But keep on being the same close minded b1tch boy that you always have been. Ok, back to ignore again.

10 - look same to me..
Gears of war on PC was the best version.. and it seems the 360 one will come close to pc this time.. (better textures and lighting )

but as allways :
Highpoly characters
Highres textures (very near objects)
LOW dynamic range,Blur effect in far objects

exactly same as Unreal tournoment 3 on PS3 and PC .

hope to see new level design and long campaign..

It's worth coming onto comments section for anything covering the Gears 2 trailer just to hear how bad Sony fans think this looks up against Resistance and Killzone.The updated engine is obviously very capable and this looks to be more exciting than before - certainly more exciting than Killzone.

I never liked how the unreal engine ran on 360 because it always got bogged down with too much happening, not so any more.

It looks the same yes but there is more scale and a ton more thrills going on this time.

Gears is the most gritty of all shooters and the sequel looks to have increased this feel.

Obviously though if you're a Sony fan everything in this trailer is nothing special.

...don't do the game justice. regardless which camp you belong to, Gears of War 2 will look fantastic and probably be a hell of a lot of fun to play - just like the first one.

I don't care if it does not look as good as Killzone 2 or not as both look like terrific games that deserve to be played by all!

This is so true on many levels its sicking to hear Fans go back and fourth trying to justify why they do or don't have a particular game/system, and half the reasons are generally hogwash. they will find a little thing wrong so they can dismiss the game all together.
