i guess EA want to avoid humiliation after they've seen NBA 2k7.. thats why they scrapped the title release.. NBA 2k7 will surely pwned Live 07 big time...

There are a lot of people who (wrongly) stick by Live and probably won't pick up a ps3 because of this (well, at least not for a year)

EA has grown more evil over the years and i'm sorry to see sony become another victim..

It seems a lot of garbabage is coming from them, what happened? I believe the franchise fell off shortly after the genesis(in football) and probably after the 2000 release of live for the ps2.

ea is dead to me what they have been doing to other companies over the years.live sucked compared to nba 2k7.and if nfl 2k7 was on the market,it would have been the market leader for football.it was destined to beat madden being they were the ones who used to make madden at one time.

I personally boycott EA games (except for Madden)...The NBA Live game was FULL of bugs anyway...terrible ratings...2k7 is a piece of art...I'm hoping more people will pick this up and see how better it is compared to Live.

with live not comeing, and sonic delayed, full auto does not support online play neither does tony hawlks project8, and the review of genji getting not more than 6 out of 10 by gamespot, and not to mention the frame rate issues some developers are haveing with some ps3 games.
After looking at all these the ps3 launch is not looking all that good, especially on the launch games.

NBA Live is no big loss for Sony, the series has been awful for awhile and if the game came out this year it probably would be worse to play it on the PS3 than it was on the 360 and at the moment Sony doesn't need that.

Now this is just my opinion... but I've never been big on Basketball video games... I just doesn't to realistic??? If you shoot a 3 pointer who's to say whether it goes in or not (even if you use a player who is a good 3 pt shooter). Playing football or hockey takes some type of skills, playcalling, time management, etc... Same with hockey passing it to the right player.. and you can actually do juke moves that will confuse the goally.... that's just my opinion... but what do I know.. I'm not even going to get a PS3 at launch

Isn`t a bad thing for PS3 fans! Nba Live 2007 is complete garbage! EA has done PS3 fans a favor, trust me on this one! They will have NBA 2K7 so they should be happy that live isn`t even on PS3 this year!

some ppl still like it. I'm not one of then, but having games in all areas is important. I have friends that will not play anything other that EA sports. I know those friends are crazy. I hope Sony does not start saying who needs it anyway. I hope they are trying to see why this game was cut from the roster.

Allot of people love live in the same way the love the Play station brand. They are blind and loyal. 2K is a better game. But for the people who need PS3 and need Live they are out of luck again. All they need to do is jum in. And stop waiting for the 1/2 grand loser stroke.

Live on X360 was terrbile compared to NBA2K7 .... All I was going to do was wait to see if the same held true for the PS3, but I guess it was that bad that its not coming to PS3 .... Thats fine with me... They haven't done a decent NBA live since NBA live 99 and 2K sports has done a much better job with physics and gameplay than EA has done. I definitely would buy a NFL 2K whatever over Madden just because of the flow of game comparitevly speaking. EA sports has gone down hill and they are getting lazy with their products and I was hoping a company like 2K would push them to get better but apparantly they just buy out all the rights for NFL games to squash a good company. I wouldn't be suprised if they don't try to do the same with the NBA :(

But like THAMMER1 said there is a lot of people that love EA Live version and there will be some disheartened people with this news and I feel bad for those people but luckily I'm not one of them.
