I've been having issues and i waited in line and got it 2nd at the midnight release and was back at home before 1am

the patch fixes nothing for me and I am so close to just going back and getting my money back for this game...i actually think i am going to do that...and just wait for a while...i might just pass up on this game totally

It's not the discs.

I brought mine home from the midnight launch and it did the cutscene freeze, and the gameplay freeze that makes it impossible to play the game at all.

The next morning I swapped discs hoping for a change. The exact same things happened with the new disc. Also, perhaps the biggest reason I can say beyond any doubt that it isn't the discs, it the fact that I have been able to play the game (probably put 45 hours on it) without any hitches, and get 35% of the game done, on my friend's system.

His machine (manufactured in Jan of 07, mine's a Nov 06) runs the game flawlessly. The same disc that crashes my system.

I also have a Nov 06 PS3 and have not experienced the freezing issues discussed in these posts at all.

The only issue that I had (which affected both PS3 & 360) was the game loading issue at startup that was solved by simply disabling the network and re-enabling it after the game loaded properly.

My thoughts on this whole loading issue is that it may not be console specific, but more of a setup issue. It would be really great to know what your system setup consists of. I'd say that 90% of the differences people have with their in game performance is due to their console settings.

yeah ive had it get all choppy with me, but it usually has to do with cars and cops and players all getting blown up by bazookas at once. I had a 12 player match at the airport with only bazookas without a hitch, man that was fun. But it might not be the online fault for the choppyness. Ive plowed through dozens of pedestrians and had it stutter on me, pretty bad. But i guess it might do that when trying to calculate 12 rag doll physics bodies all interacting with each other.

i was able to play online no problem. I didnt play the game till a week after it came out thou. Maybe that made the difference

Get a life dumbshit$ - GTA 360 is running like a champ online or off where you faq$ are getting your $hit patched up, have problems with frame rate (just look at the posts in the gamer zone from the ps3 owners)among other issues (lower resolution, no AA etc.) Yet you still have the balls to try and drag the 360 down - and that's why you keep getting $hitty games, serves you right.

Okay, listen here, fool. The only reason the 08 line-up is better than the 360's 08 line-up is because the PS3's big hitters are [finally] coming out. There is PLENTY of 360 exclusives that look great, but are no where near the "Hit Status" of SOME of the Ps3 exclusive games coming out in 08.

So, again, there is PLENTY of 360 exclusives coming out in 08..
