People we need to have as many outlets as possible for these multi platform games. The more money the third party developers make, the more money they can put towards building bigger and better games.

I happen to be playing GTA on the PS3. But some of the people I work with are playing it on the 360. We are all having fun, we talk about it at work and share a few good laughs. None of us are fighting over what system we're playing it on.

Funny, I am 30% into single player with about 20 hours on multiplayer...

And there are work arounds to get it working - Given its a big pain, but hey sometimes you have to do what you have to do. But honestly its nothing compared to what I have had to do with PC games in the past.

Lunch, you know I would... but I have better things to do then to cry to mods or make multiple accounts to make myself have more bubbles. I saw porky's comment and he basically owned toughname. Some people are the sensitive type.

I know I speak nothing but truth on this site and sometimes the truth hurts... but anyone who knows this should bubble me up like I bubble them up. I just dont make a big deal out of giving bubbles... if I like what they say, they get a bubble. and visa versa... just sad how people have to have multiple accounts to be able to talk on this site.

I get my gaming news from this site as I sift through the garbage... Its just weird how all my comments all day have not received crazy amounts of disagrees, but i lost 2 bubbles in one day. I was kinda harsh on the hack with the 75/100 review.. coulda been him and maybe not toughname... so who knows, who cares... I am going home to play GTA on my PS3 and IT WORKS. DISAGREE WITH THAT!

Well we will see when GTA5 comes around and a regular DVD9 can't cut it in the next 2 years or so...

besides R* hasn't split the GTA fanbase...im sure millions of ppl bought GTA when it was on the orginal Xbox...even though it came out 6 months after the PS2 version...

and developing a game like GTA for 2 platforms at the same time...cost alot more than developing for one platform...

So unless EA buys T2 ..im sure GTA5 will be a timed exclusive for the PS3...! as it usually was....

I'm not sure if we'll see GTA5 until next gen anyway. We might get 1 or 2 Vice City/San Andreas style games, but I'm not even sure about that, honestly. I think a lot of it depends on how successful the DLC is.

Either way, next gen, I doubt Microsoft will still be using DVD9 anyway.

For the record, I am someone who definately would've bought a PS3 for GTA4 if it were exclusive, but didn't need to because I already had a 360.

And I guarantee I am far from the only one that in situation.

Say what you want, but both consoles have a great line-up.

Sony with MGS4, ReFOM2, LBP, and possibly Killzone2. Those are some heavy hitters. Will it make 2008 the PS3 year? HIGHLY DOUBTFUL

M$ with Gears2, Banjo, Splinter Cell5, Too Human, NG2, Fable 2, Halo Wars, Alan Wake, and dont forget the DLC for GTA4. (on a side note, notice how nobody can label the 360 as a "shooters" only console anymore)

Out of all the games coming out this year, i still believe Gears will deliver more hype and will sell more during holiday season. Expect heavy MS style mega-advertising campaing. Especially with movie, books, and toys already in the works.

The truth of the matter is this... IF these consoles were PC's. You owned and 360 and I owned a PS3... I could say I have a better PC then you and noone would argue that point. More power, More reliability, more flexibility, more backing from previous versions... but here on N4G people don't seem to rationalize. I am getting sick of this site and the fights... stupid fights, the fights that try to disagree with FACTS. I love popping in and giving my two cents. I would be the first to admit it, if Sony would have secured GTA4, it would have taken over like the PS2 did.
GTA3 is the best selling game series on PS2, all 3 games on the top four of best selling list.

But you gotta admit, for MS to get same day release, 720p, 2xAA, no HDD required, far less problems reported playing online compared to PS3, and the exclusive DLC coming fall 08 and spring 09. THAT is a slap in the face to past ps2 sonyfans.

After playing NG2, all I could muster was "meh". Not being able to change weapons on the fly sucked and it didn't look as good as Sigma. As of right now, either version of DMC4 owns NG2. Doesn't matter if you use the claws, the staff or dual blades...pausing to change your weapon is such a distraction. Gears 2 will the same "been there, done that" game ALL of Epic's games are.

ninja gaiden is a great game but its not a system seller. it will be kickass, dont get me wrong but for casuals it is not so hot. maybe its the difficulty or lack of interesting storyline. God of War 3 appeals to both these aspects. so i think sony has the hack and slash covered. as for gears well gears will be unmatched but one game isn't really gonna make people buy more systems especially if its a sequel.

In that respect Prophet, UK is only one part of Europe, and NA is one part of the World. Retailers have already begun to state that in the US, its 60/40 MS favor, and 60/40 Sony favor in Eur. Really, the whole thing is pointless. We'll be hearing stuff like this for 2 more weeks before NPD comes out and even then, it won't truly be relevant till next month when GTA has been out for that period of time.

Ok seriously I never said ONE game would kill 360.. No one game can kill another system.. ITs gonna be a magnitude of games.. The way Ps3 08 lineup is looking its getting close.. with Blu ray, Blutooth wireless capabilities.. and soon an Online that will match XBL and for free.. Even Play TV and PSP will contribute.. But all in all it will be a variety of things NOT just one game..

Thats why I said it prolonged the death.. cause it all fairness GTA4 was good for 360..

but with the faulty hardware of 360 and its small dics and the ceiling for games getting closer.. also with no HD movie capabilities its hard to see the staying power of 360

TO ME PERSONAL OPINION: 360 is looking alot like Dreamcast.. Easy to dev for, a few solid games.. but no real staying power in the long term

How can you state the Ps3 has crap games.. when there was a recent article stating the Wii leads the Consoles with crap titles and 360 is in second place and Ps3 is last in crap games and first in quality..

Wii was like 15% of its games were good.. 360 was like 26% and Ps3 was 33%.. So to say Ps3 has Crap games is false.. Wii and 360 have crap games.. While Ps3 has higher quality

No offense, but in my honest opinion, SOCOM looks horrible compared to other things the PS3 and 360 have coming out. It won't top COD4, much less any other game. May be the best SOCOM to date, but nothing will be "ova" because of it.
