A lot of sonic and Mario Development games in the works or are currently out. Shouldn't it be time for the blue hedgehog to hang up his coat and let a new person in? I mean Sonic is great and all and dearly love him ever since I played 2 on Genesis. I seriously think its time we bring out new characters, I mean it's next gen technically we should be moving into Next Characters :).

I actually don't mind too much that companies release games using familiar icons as much as I do companies releasing games using different characters but w/ the exact same gameplay (ie many FPSs, sandbox games, racing sims, sports sims, etc). Hopefully Sonic Unleashed brings something new and successful to the table.

Same, I do not so much as mind but it would be nice to see new faces on the gaming industry. One can only hope that at least a new character will be introduced like the last few sonic games have done. If not, I hope it will be something somewhat similar to either Sonic Adventure or the Sonic games for the Genesis
