IGN: Grand Theft Auto IV: Special Edition Review - Is the American dream worth an extra $30?

IGN writes: "Those who want a little more bang from GTA IV can purchase the special edition for $89.99. Packaged in a large, attractive cardboard box, the Special Edition includes some nice swag, but lacks the traditional "Making Of" DVD that generally proves most enticing for gamers willing to shell extra cheddar.

GTA IV: The Special Edition includes the following:
Metal lock box with GTA IV logo embossing
Rockstar Duffel Bag
Soundtrack Sampler
Art Book
Rockstar key chain
Standard copy of GTA IV

The duffel bag has a nice yellow lining and a large Rockstar logo. It's big enough to fit a cat or mob boss's head. The lock box is the better container. This non-descript metal box is the perfect place to lock up your game to keep it away from children. There's enough bonus space to hide rolled up Playboy's and your relaxation medication. Perhaps this is what Al Gore was going on about back in 2000. Makes sense now."

i was debating while in line if I should switch my order to the special edition and I kinda regret that I didn't but to hear that there was no making of dvd is a quite a let down.

3 - I thought it was worth it.
The lockbox it's housed in is pretty handy for other stuff, gave the dufflebag to my friend (she loves it), and having the soundtrack and artbook was pretty tight. LOVE the Rockstar keychain though. Looks badass. =]

3.2 - I think about 10 PS3 games.
Not sure about 360 games though (since PS3 case is smaller). I'm keeping non-gaming related stuff in there too right now.

4 - GTA: SUCKER EDITION
Because no apsiring felon is complete w/o a lock box to store all there illegal paraphanelia.

Tired of knocking off liquor stores but not having enough room to store all that loot? Then the R* duffel bag is the solution to all your problems!

The GTA4 special edition, more useless cr@p than you know what to do with.

I am not too fond of special edition, but I got the special edition on this one. I liked the duffel bag and the metal case especially the keychain and everything was very nice. Atleast it was better than the other special editions for games like DMC4 etc.

I was like "$20 dollars more for...that?" I hope MGS4 is the last special edition i get though, 'cause this crap is getting expensive.

8 - Yes, worth it to me
Listening to the soundtrack right now at work, have the license plate mounted on the front the suv (while it installed to hdd), the bag is my new gym bag. I donno wtf to do with the lock box, but I'm sure I'll find something. After mounting the plate I started reading the art book, got done with the front page and the install was done. Really enjoying the game, I wish I was home right now.

9 - picture is slightly strange...
the game case says its for ps3, yet the big box it all came in says Xbox 360. weird
