I really really hope no one lets there kids play this game. Me on the other hand I can't wait to get this game. I am shocked that they took it this far but I am also proud that they have the ball$ to do it. You go R* Taking gaming to the extreme.

dude its a rated M game, you act as if its marketed to 10 year olds. Plus it does add to gameplay, it boosts your health. If you can think of a better way then i'd like to see you apply for a job at Rockstar.

Look at the amount of disagrees. Are you all implying you'll get turned on by watching that video game character doing that? O_o How many of you have girlfriends and wives who disagreed with my comment? Honestly this website lacks some intelligence sometimes. I'm not attacking GTA, I love the game, but I don't understand the point in developers intentionally trying to give it some sort of darker name by adding stuff like this.

How about getting something to eat or drink? That actually sounds more convincing of improving health then rubbing your thing. No, they just added it cos they could. "Hey I know guys, lets just say this improves health lol so no one can complain". We all know why they did it - because they can, because they want the attention of news leaflets.

... and in Liberty City, just as in real life, there are hookers... so the game just offers you the freedom to take advantage of that, or not. The choice is up to the player.

So if you dont like it, just dont make use of it. For me, although I would never ever everrrrrrrrrrr go to a whore in real-life, I think the addition of them in a game like this is just another extra cherry on the cake.

edit: it isnt included with the reason to 'turn you on', but it's included as an option, giving you the freedom to do it or not. It's 'realistic', as in they are also there in real cities, and so when Rock* makes a game like this, it's only logical they include it in as well!

This doesnt AROUSE me, or make me horny, but I do find it funny, and nice to have it as a option.

People in general/especially parent should really know by now that games aren't only for children. I mean games really have evolved since the 80s right? They aren't what they used to be when you 35-45 year old parents were kids/teenagers.

What about gears of war when two people chainsaw eachother to death? If you let your family play that then your a hypocrite because gore adn violence is much worse then impleied sex. Yeah your right. There are still lots of places atleast here in Finland where you can get porno besides porno stores and internet as you mentioned.
Movie rental-places for example or smaller kiosks.

Many times it's solely up to the employee at the counter to check the ID of a person who buys porno/beer/tobacco. I think it shouln't be any different with games.

However I do find your idea "and not be displayed on stores... who knows maybe it should be sold on XXX porno stores only... or over online orders... just like any other porno movie..." to be fantastic. It would only be for the greater good if it causes any inconveniences and it would further stress the importance of good parenting.

People are responsible for their children until they are 18 years old minimum. That's the way the law works up here in Finland atleast. I intend to act accordingly with my own children (3 and 5 years old) so no GTA4 for them. That's daddy's game so STFU =D j/k. You get the idea yes?

Personally I agree with Blade. What in this game makes it NECCESARY to have it? Is it a game about picking up prostitutes?... It is an adult themed game, so it is not intended for children, but kids will get their hands on it in one way or another.

Games are different than movies. They are interactive. The Player is immersed in the character and the action. So while no Pen15 is being shown, or a V4gin4 for that matter, it is the fact that the player is doing the action and initiating it. While I am not canceling my pre-order, I am quite disappointed in the decision to leave this in the game.

For those who say that this is not pornography, you are completely wrong. Pornography is defined as a depiction of a sexual act.

Yes, I also understand that you are a cold-blooded killer and you are allowed to senselessly murder people. That may be worse, but it really isnt in the public eye. Where are the "murder movie" stores?... Sex is in our culture as a taboo, and lude behavior like this is also shunned more than murder or other things that might be "worse" That is our culture and the way it is in America, and most developed countries, so yeah, it is worse than murder.

I also agree that polliticans will have a field day on this. I think there will be a new era for video game censorship coming from this.
