1UP Reviews Rocky and Bullwinkle

1UP writes: "It may have mysteriously vanished into the ether sometime during the past couple of decades, but the classic animated series The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show was a Cold War-era Animaniacs -- ostensibly for children, but with clever writing that pulled in college kids and young adults. The shows continued in reruns well into the '80s, so even today's twenty- and thirtysomethings grew up with it. But in a day where just about every part of your childhood is available online somewhere, the show is in short supply even on YouTube.

In theory, then, Xbox Live Arcade's Rocky and Bullwinkle is an opportunity for younger players to get into the series -- and for older gamers to relive childhood memories. And this is where the original series? vignette-based presentation is tailor-made for a WarioWare-style party-game -- while the moose and squirrel were the headliners, everyone knows that the real stars of the show were segments like Fractured Fairy Tales, Peabody's Improbable History, and Aesop and Son. Each "level" of the game revolves around a different Rocky and Bullwinkle vignette, and this is the part of the game that works".
