Nifty. Might be worthwhile to get some more playtime in Lost Odyssey :)

3 - I don't want a new level.
It's a waste to add levels for DLC. I don't want 10-60 minutes of extra gameplay.

I want the ability to replay the game with everything I earned on the first play-through. (You can replay the game, starting at level 50, but you have to fetch everything again.) I also want to have the ability to avoid random battles. Most RPGs give you that ability late in the game.

The game was released holiday 07 in japan around the same time that COD4 and Mass Effect were released, and all are or have reveived downloadable content around the sametime frame.

According to Bioware devs, once the main game has been done the downloadable contents are much easier to make and then implement.I don't think it will be any different for Mistwalker.

4.2 - No.
The game is huge. I don't feel like they held anything back.

5 - Once again... questionable DLC...
... this DLC-scamming is really ruining gaming, offering developers an easy opportunity to make a few extra quick bucks, by offering content that could just as easily have been included in the retail version.

I won this game in a contest btw, but I wont be bothering with the DLC. I dont want any part of the whole DLC scam.

5.1 - uhhh dude...
its been almost half a year since the game got released. plus its 50+ megs.

this DLC is good in anyone's eyes.

bad DLC is one that a) comes out a month within release date
b) says it's X megs, but takes only a few seconds to install (already on disc)
c) the game has obvious ingame placeholders for future DLC
d) overpriced for its value

If you don't want it then don't buy it.it's like the bring Down The Sky downloadable content for mass Effect,it simply adds an extra incentive to pick up the game again and play for a few more hours.

i could care less before about DLC but after getting Forza 2 and was a bit disapointed that ferrari 599,Audi R8 and S5 were not in the final product. But now they are available as a download and i have noe been playing Forza 2 again.

I will be getting LO this week and if its a lovely game and i feel the need to play more then i will get the DLC.

The only question is, When will they release it in the States?

Hironobu Sakaguchi's Lost Odyssey is a masterpiece, the best JRPG of this generation thusfar.

Lost Odyssey, without the DLC is *massive*. The DLC is an option for people (like me) who love the game and want to play more.

If you want, you can buy a Xbox 360 and play it too. I highly recommend it.

No thanks. One play through was more than enough for me.

The game is sweet. Sure Lost Odyssey has the fewest random enemy encounter rate... but they set it up that way. The enemies are fewer and farther apart but they kick your as_.

Also the way you level up keeps you in check for the levels your on. It makes the game play smooth and challenging. The boss battles are usually long and hard.

This DLC has been talked about for some time now and the item is the 0 MP skill which takes 999 SP to learn, which most skills are 8-20. The skill is completely different from the Pre-Order bonus material.

DLC is accessed on the 4th Disc and can be accessed any time. So after you beat the game you still have quests to accomplish.

oh man Enchanted Arms had the slowest random encounters. I swear I'd run back and forth and in a circle sometimes for 2 mins without one battle >< and they didn't have the nice flow of exp getting you to their desired level either :(

Extra content is always welcome, even though some try to down play DLC if it is not available to them. I have been skeptical about this game. Truth be known, I am leery of most JRPG's, I have just grown tired of cut scene after cut scene. You know 10 minutes of gameplay and then 10 minutes of cut scene. Blue dragon had me in a daze. Do not get me worng JRPG's are good game (do not care for turn based), but after Morrowind and Oblivion I have favored WRPG's a little more. I may pick this one up on on eBay.

8.1 - I prefer action over turn based myself.
I did pick up LO though. Beat it yesterday. It's paced well enough that the turn based fighting doesn't bother me. I actually watched the cut scenes, but I did skip all the dream sequences though. Very good game.
