Tom Clancy's HAWX officially announced + new images

Today Ubisoft, one of the world's largest video game publishers, announces the development of Tom Clancy's HAWX (high-altitude warfare), an awe-inspiring game that is primed to revolutionize the way players think about combat in the sky. Scheduled for release in Fall 2008, Tom Clancy's HAWX turns consumers into elite pilots of the future. The game will appear on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and on Windows-based PC.

"Tom Clancy's HAWX marks the next evolution of high altitude warfare in the Tom Clancy video game universe," said John Parkes, EMEA Marketing Director at Ubisoft. "We are thrilled to take to the skies and provide a new environment along with an extension of a familiar storyline from our other successful Tom Clancy franchises such as Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter."

1 - Nice.
I can't wait for this but I hope there is no screen tearing like in most Ubisoft games.

nice screen tearing doesn't bother me too much as i hardly ever notice it. Hopefully this will be better than ace combat. Not that ace combat is bad or anything but i just feel it could be a lot better.

If those screens are in game i can say it already looks better than ace combat. I don't even see any phot realism in ace combat at all. Don't know what all the fuss was about. The environments also look a LOT better. I hate how ace combat environments are practically 2d

Screen tearing and framerate drops never bother me as well. I dont see how people get so worked up about it.

I tried the ace combat demo and wasnt to impressed. I guess its not my type of game. I loved the paper floor they had...lol

I'll keep an eye out on this one... does anyone know if Ace Combat: Fires of Liberation is still coming to ps3? I need something to take care of my virtual flight cravings!

not sure it has been announced yet but just like eternal sonata, it is quite likely. The game also didn't sell to well...as expected so that is further incentive for a port. Unfortunately, if they don't have it for ps3 by the time this one is out, i can bet you it will be overlooked by ps3 gamers as well

Tom Clancy's Endwar isn't even out yet =)

Something tells me Ubisoft are abusing the Tom Clancy license lol!

Rainbow Six, GRAW, Endwar, Splinter Cell and now HAWX.

The game looks great but what I really want is Tom Clancy's Assassins Creed or Tom Clancy's Rayman.
