CoD4 dev: "I wouldn't rule out single player DLC"

Infinity Ward has told Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare fans not to rule out future single-player downloadable content, but the developer doesn't have any plans for it right now.

Infinity Ward programmer Jon Shiring told VideoGamer.com: "I wouldn't rule it out but we don't have any plans for that right now."

2 - I don't think they should do that although the game was only
about 8 hours long. The shouldn't milk it as they already have Multiplayer DLC.

yeah it is awesome of them to do this and stay so loyal to the game, but i never finished the campaign anyway!

2.2 - I AGREE
They should seriously move on and make the next game in the series. They can still make lots of profit on the dlc but still I would hope they start working on the next call of duty game.

Unfortunately for us, every new DLC that includes gameplay fetches at least 400 points ($5 bucks). Developers probably spend a fraction fo the time fleshing out the new content once the technology is developed. This means that DLC is highly profitable. Of course MS will milk all Xbox 360 gamers of every penny they can. Thanks MS!

Above, I'm referencing the fact that most MS downloads are charged a fee and even content that developers want distributed free is pushed to have a charge by MS. Then again we are talking about Activision, which is also pretty money hungry....

Its coming out on the PSN too so MS isn't the only greedy one.

2.5 - i REALLY hope they do
i loved the single player and i hate playing FPS online, so this would be perfect for me. i wouldn't buy any of the mulitplayer dlc but i'd grab the single player dlc in a second.

and since the next CoD will be back to WWII, this might be the last CoD i buy for a while. i hope they extend this experience as long as possible.

Single player DLC wouldn't be a bad thing but I feel they should focus on multiplayer DLC.

Time on single player: 10 - 12 hours
Time on multiplayer: 3 days +

4 - The multiplayer DLC
sounds great with 3 new maps but is there any ideas for new perks?? Do you guys have any ideas? My only idea is the Auto throw back for grenades....man I think it would be useful.

7 - How about just co-op
it would be awesome just to get the ability to play co-op. Map Packs are great, but it is just more of the same, I would love to see developers take advantage of DLC and really add to the game play aspect. Give us more missions to complete, change a few features or add some features and I will gladly pay you a few bucks. I would rather pay a 20 bucks to make a great game better than buy a stinker for 60.

9 - @ Chubear
Yeah I dont know how many times I see the grenade icon and just run instead of chucking it or i'm prone trying to capture a flag or whatever and a grenade comes flying in...love the killcam by the way. Auto-throwback grenade would be nice!

10 - SP DLC?
Yes please!!! So disappointing that SP has completely gotten the shaft on big game releases due to the popularity of MP.

I just can't stand listening to the gits online so I'm all about the SP.

This would be very welcome.

11 - BUNGIE...
should take notes, (i like halo more than COD4) but instead of making us pay $60 to see the prequal to the halo campaign, just release a 1GB expansion on live, thats at least like 3-5 hours long. i mean that would be frickin sweet.

i mean it would be cool if they could expand the story or universe in the same game wouldnt it! the thing is knowing M$ they will make IW or bungie charge a buttload of money im think 20 bucks...

good job IW i am really impressed with you guys.

Well the campaign was at least 2 hours too short. But what could they really add? More to the Epilogue?

I could have swore I heard this before. They said they would be interested in doing missions like "Mile High Club." But were currently focusing on online. This was back when no one cared, because we were waiting for the patch.

14 - U know what
I am sick of this DLC crap they ask us gamers to pay 60 dollars (HARD EARNED I MIGHT ADD) then they release some download able content and I'm supposed to jump up and down like a chimp well you have the wrong gamer. If you don't include the FULL game the first time then don't include it; I understand the download for the new map pack for the online mode but the single-player is what I purchased the game for why give me half and short hand me like that. If it's not free IW you can kiss it I will wait for a real shooter that includes every thing no nickel and dime intentions.
