EB and Gamestop yesterday had an event in their US shops where they had a long gameplay video of Gears of War on display.

It was actually available on the internet before you could see it at the event, kinda defeating the purpose. Anyways, it looks awesome. Does anyone know the timeframe it takes for a game to be a platinum hit? If it's nine months, then I'm all set because it'll be about 9 months from release until I have constant access to a 360 :(

i reserved my collectors edition the other day and was amazed at the price its selling for in the store i went to, $88.90 now remember im in new zealand, our price is about double american money so it thats about $44.45 or sothing like that over there! amazing aye, and the collectors here is the same price as the normal copy, dont know if its the sameelsewhere, also i dunno bout anyone else but ive noticed microsoftgame studios games are always cheaper then other games

the gameplay looks like you're watching nonstop action packed movie. Epic perfected the cinematic camera movements. it would have been better if the download clip was in HD res.

Yeah HD would have been nice. Most of the times, HD is later added on Xboxyde. So just get back there in one day maybe it's there.

Oh and Ut2007? lol k first of all theirs been nothing really shown for that game, secondly...it's made by the same company, so of course it's going to be bad as*, what a dumb comment, and it will probably look better than this game, last time I checked games always improve graphically over the life of a console, not get worse, Ps3 fan your a moron, simple as that

its on the PS3 part of this site. i have never been big in UT because of its very fast paced, but the gameplay video looks pretty good.

not alot of skill involved in those UT games, with all the different cover techniques in GOW, it looks way better than UT2k7, plus I really like the over the shoulder view vs. the first person.
