XboxLIVE didnt crash when Halo 3 was released, neither did it crash in the same month, i know this because i was playing Halo 3 online doing matchmaking and also the 4 player online co-op. if you disagree then please provide evidence and i will say sorry.

the only time i have known XboxLIVE to fuk up for a vast amount of time was over Christmas.

i do know they took down XboxLIVE for the launch of Halo 3 im just saying it didnt crash when Halo 3 was released.

But I got the message as well. The April Fool's part is that they're claiming that it will only be down for 3 hours. I'd bet 36-48 hours, based on past experience.

And it ALWAYS takes longer for the updates than they predict. Every single time (maybe not 36 hours though). I understand it's an incredibly complicated system but at least give a more reasonable time frame...6-8 hours maybe?

Voice chat or Video chat. Last time i checked, you could voice chat with up to 3 other people at a time while all playing different games. Video chat is another issue, but i can imagine the bandwidth issues to basically have a video conference on Live.

I certainly didn't believe it was real....but I do now. EA has it posted from an EA modderator...and now a picture is posted of the message.

So thats about as real as it gets for me.
