Ubisoft: Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 Patch in Development

Ubisoft today confirmed on their community forums that a patch to fix the Private First Class achievement in Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 is in development. The achievement doesn't unlock because players who have a Rainbow Six: Vegas (One) save file, receive a bonus which takes the total XP to a rank above Private First Class.

Ubisoft also said they are looking into reported online issues but those issues seem to be more PlayStation 3 based. No specific release date for the patch was announced but Ubisoft have said that "the connection issues have not been known for as long and will require more indepth research to establish what the issue is".

Yeah you are comparing "some" stats tracking oddity to a fully blown problem with the ps3 version, nice try but you loose. Ps 3 is the one with problems, 360 works like a dream :)

another loss for online patching. See how easy it is for devs to release an incomplete game because they know all they have to do is fix it later after you spent the 60 bucks

3 - i´m getting tired
of the patch thing. in the good times of games(genesis, snes)there´s no patchs but the games came out in most cases good, now they release a game with patches in mind. some day we will buy a game only with the intro, them we have a patch to level one, one week later a patche to level two, etc.... were going back.

They are fixing the 360 version because:
a. they know which console there hardcore fans have
b. they know which version sold the most

Don't think so hah. Hiked the price of games over the last few gens to SNES era prices and took a step back in quality assurance too.

8 - Big companies like EA and Ubisoft...
are exploiting gaming technology instead of using it to make superior games compared to last generations.

I won't deny that I love fact that we can get fixes and DLC via internet. It's amazing how far we've come...

The thing is, companies like these are using this technology to develop garbage and even worse, incomplete games on purpose to meet date lines or just because they can now.

Fixes should be just that, FIXES when devs make a mistake or when they can improve something they thought it was great first.

Now they release a fetus and then deal with all the sickness instead of releasing a new born healthy baby.

and to think I used to love EA and Ubisoft games.

You have to love developers releasing software first, then beta testing and bug patching after.

11 - Ubisoft Boycotte
Ubisoft needs to fix the PS3 version fast. I don't know why GRAW2 has no problems, but both of these Raibow Six games are terrible for online problems.

If they don't fix this soon, I won't buy another Rainbow game ever again.

I think the RSV team needs to talk to the GRAW team, aswell I think some people need to be fired!

I'm looking forward to GRAW 3, but I'm gonna wait to see the reviews first.

"the connection issues have not been known for as long and will require more indepth research to establish what the issue is".

HMMMMMMMMMM. when did they hear about it? yesterday. because i'm sure their forums were blowing up about this on day one. i know this because i was right there complaining my little heart out.

is it just me? i don't remember any problems with cod4 on launch day. i wish ubisoft would just make games for the 360 only. let those guys have them.

i know i wont be buying anymore of their games. and if R6V2'S grfx is as good as they can get well then thats right up the 360's ally anyhow.
