Fracture "one of few" pushing PS3 & 360 limits

Many games use the current gen consoles to make pretty pictures, but Fracture is "one of the few games" that really pushes the hardware on a gameplay front, LucasArts has told CVG.

Fracture features an innovative Terrain Deformation system that allows players to use various unique weapons and tools to bend, warp and deform the ground below their feet. This, says LucasArts, was a challenge to get working, and pushes the high-performance consoles to their limits.

Wardevil anyone? Apparently that game isn't even full potential... Predator you know its true man. There is nothing wrong with that though... It's not about visuals its about gameplay. Look at super smash bros or mario galaxy. Inferior system by far capability wise but gameplay is hands down best I have played this gen along with Call of Duty (Multiplat) and thats about it...

but graphics are the candy wrapper, the gift wrap as it were. It's hard to sell a great game without great graphics in today's market

Uh BS nothing with what they are doing is that complex yes a more unique idea, but nothing really pushing the limits especially not for both consoles. When we start seeing real time cgi thats when consoles will start showing what this gen is all about then after thats mastered then we will see things pushing the limits,but all so called attempts are bs.

Anyway, art direction in this game is a tad on the mediocre side but I do like the terrain deformation abilities. If it has a halfway decent storyline I might check it out.

This is one of the games I 'm looking forward to a lot. What I think they are pushing the limits on is their physics engine. Real time deformation can be murder on a CPU. The problem is that because it's multi-plat the PS3 won't be as optimized as it could be. I almost guarantee they are not using the SPE's and if they are it's limited. It doesn't really matter though as long as the PS3 version doesn't suffer from it.

they are not pushing the limits of consoles just the limits of their minds and funds, and if you look at this game thats just decent not great, so don't think that this is as far as the systems can be pushed. now when games start to look 3-4x better than gears of war then i'll start believing that garbage claim

not a very imformative article. in fact it was pretty useless. game looks ok. pretty cool sounding mechanics but why would we need terrain deforming guns in a shooter? hope im wrong and this game kicks ass, lucas arts are really good devolpers, well, so far their games have been good.

If you rather spend $100.00 dollars worth of content for a game cause your DVD disc can't fit it all, that is your problem only.

PS3 gamers reserve themselves the right to have a full Blu-Ray disc for $60.00

If they claim that the 360 and PS3 are being pushed to the max, that proves ignorance enough to guarantee that the 360 version might look better.

you have to agree that there is absolutely no other racing game that matches what GT5 is/will offer, and I mean the full version too, cause will include damage and a lot of more extras.
