I was never that big a fan of the console Battlefields.
It felt as if they veered a bit too far off the formula which made the Battlefield games great (excluding Vietnam).

This feels more real than COD4. It might not look as good, but damn the sound and destructible environment does the trick.

Battlefield you're now back in my top 5 for 08.
Best year in Gaming history.

Best sound I've heard in a war game. The weapons and ambience sound amazing. It makes the whole thing look even more realistic. Very nice graphics as well. Definite buy.

VERY VERY IMPRESSIVE

It looks awsome and sounds even better. One thing the BF game on the 360 lacked BAD over the PC version was sound emersion and sound accuracy in regards to sounding like the real weapon and the nuances they carry (ie, indoor shot VS long rang shot VS shoot within a concrete walled room compared to a normal house)

I was in the military for many years, and must say ... the sound I am hearing in the vids a FAN-FVCKEN-TASTIC

REALLY helps being you into the game. Looks for sure bring you in, but sound is just as important.

8.1 - I haven't heard something this good in a while...
Most games (like Call of Duty) tone down the gunfire far too much. Once the crap breaks loose there's not much room for anything but gunfire in real life.

Reminds me of the ULTIMATE "REAL GAME" experience .. with less danger of course.

The sound is really what grabbed me by the face when I watched this video. When the sh!t hits the fan, gun fire, and the yelling of fellow troops is all you really can hear. And from what I HEARD, this game does a very good job of capturing that aspect.

Look VERY forward to it.

I agree, the gunfire sound better than any shooter to date. You have to love all of the things that the guys are shouting in the background. I think this game is aslo gonna be good comedy.

Gameplay looks pretty impressive. Was it just me or was the enemy AI not so hot? Destructibility looks fun - like playing Mercenaries.
