No DMC 4 on Wii… Ever

"With the Devil May Cry series going multiplatform starting with DMC 4, everyone thought a Wii version would be released, too. As it stands, the developers have no intention of releasing a Nintendo edition of the game anytime soon, since porting it over to the Wii would mean they would have to sacrifice a lot of things.

This comes straight from DMC 4 producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, who says: "You know, a lot of people ask us if we are going to bring out a Wii version. I simply don't think you can make the game the type of game it is, with the awesome graphics and control - I don't think that would work on the Wii. So, I don't think we're going to bring one out, no."

You're exactly right. The only current gen system I have is the Wii and I am very concerned about what is to come after Mario Kart Wii is released. Nintendo better be planning on unveiling some crazy things at E3 that better be more than something like "Wii Still Play".

Sorry. I was a DMC fan until your recent DMC release.

Its graphics are horribly last gen and its the worse DMC ever (Yes it reaches DMC2)

DMC4 lacks everything good about DMC. Different DT. Variety of weapons and combos. Variety of Enemies. Epic Bosses. Dante. Not repetitive and recyled (There is dmc3 which you fight bosses 2 times in the underworld but it fits in story not just to add gameplay time and it was designed very good unlike DMC4 one). Too easy. Bad Story (Not as bad as 2 but still bad).

Nero lacks everything good about DMC and is the 2nd worse character added to DMC (Worse is Lucia)

Also. Capcom are going downhill lately they give a crap about their games and want $$$ ONLY

That's ridiculous. Not only didn't I expect it to be on the Wii, I don't care. I'm glad the series exists for those who like it, but it's no skin off my back at all. I was done with this series after the first one.

It has sold 2 million copies so far, so I doubt they have any reason to make a DMC on Wii. The PS360's install base is much larger than the Wii's so making a PS360 "exclusive" is still economically feasible.

You're right because we won't be able to take our eyes off of it.

But there are options. We could play Disaster: Day of Crisis, Final Fantasy: CC, Tomb Raider Underworld, Star Wars: TFU, Fatal Frame 4, Monster Hunter 3, etc...

Oh! And the dozens of Wiiware games that have not yet been revealed. We'll be getting them at launch.

I played DMC and i really didnt think the gfx were awesome....
and gameplay didnt change much....so i really dont understand the " next gen" hype.( I didnt claim its a bad game, so dont make up stuff)
but capcom just concentrate on new games! no need for remakes or ports or whatever!
