Let's do a little experiment. Go predict 10 things for the games industry that you think will happen in the next 12 months. Go ahead and write that down on a sheet of paper, make sure you write the date down in the corner.

Guess what? Some of those things are going to come true. Not all of them, but yes, some of them will come true if your predictions were reasonable enough.

After 12 months, publish that paper to a bunch of news-hungry gamers on the internet and they will sing your praises. "He predicted this correctly", they will say. "He predicted that correctly." Next thing you know you're a renowned gamintg-insider with a magic rumour crsytal ball.

You can predict 100 things in the gaming industry, some will come to pass, but you wouldn't be able to say WHICH ONES with any accuracy. No, that would be NEWS INSTEAD.

It's a Carnival game, and peaple are standing in line to buy this bullcrap.

Greatest hits are the older titles that sold 1 million+ copies. Once they do that Sony releases them at a discounted price of $20 (that was the PS2 pricing). We'll just have to wait and see what their Greatest Hits pricing will be with the PS3. I'm going to guess about $25-30...

Now I'll finally get Motorstorm... Hope they'll drop the DLC price as well once a game hits that list.

I think so, but "most" wifi connectors work with the 360 to varying success. That said I just bought a longer Cat cable and hide it under the carpet. Wifi is just to wishy washy for gaming in my opinion.

360 has about 35, with only one year diff between the two consoles and if you added the two years. That would put the PS3 at 14, less than half of that on the 360. Some things in this console war are just painfull facts, 360 had a high failure rate and the PS3 doesn't sell games all that well. None of the gaming platforms can push games sales like the Xbox platform, "none". Infact if you combined the PC, Wii and PS3 the 360 is still higher. Now I know there may be some phantom disagrees with what I just wrote, but in the end you will be a fool because nothing I have said is false, "nothing". What you PS3 fans need to do is convince other PS3 owners to stop buying into the freaking movies and pick up some more games.

IMO: (you can disagree with this) I feel that the PS3 will suffer from the same effect when Halo 3 came out, I believe that most of those gamers waiting for MGS4 and FF allready own PS3's and that is what they are waiting for. I just find it hard to believe that the current PS3 owners are in it just for the movies and don't know that these things are gaming consoles, they can't be that stupid (but then again look at some of the Droids here)

mate im not disagreein with ya- you always have valid points, but i was just saying that 4 1mil sellers is not a correct figure

its no secret that 360 has had amazing software records (acheivements and xbox live play have helped that greatly and is what the ps3 is currently lacking- hopefully home will sort that out)

but i disagree with you about one thing- i think that a lot of people are waiting for another ps3 price drop until they get one, or maybe they really want one for FF, but aren't getting one now because they think there is no point until FF comes out- you get the idea, the same can apply to MGS4, KZ2, LBP, R2, GOW3 and the like

anyway software sales on the PS3 are getting much better, just look at BO:P, the install base gap between 360 and PS3 is what- 7mil or so, yet PS3 BO:P is only a couple dozen thousand copies away from the 360 version

sorry to rant on you like this Jas, i just wanted to point something out

Good point, but to be honest, I don't think games sell that badly on PS3 at all.
Look at Burnout Paradise, it's only sold 250,000 (give or take) more on the 360, and considering the 360 has nearly twice the userbase, that isn't much of a lead.

uh...gamesblow...where do these rumors you made stem from?...

tekken 6 for the 360?...Didn't Namco confirm an exclusive agreement on the console version, because of the physical arcade game using PS3 oriented hardware?...

and 124megs of ram as an OS footprint?...it wasn't even that at launch...in which Sony dev kits had 92megs blocked for OS functions...Firmware 1.60 has been the only confirmed OS optimization since, but which dropped the OS footprint to 'under 52mb'...and Sony free'd up the dev kits accordingly...

both of this stuff is constantly addressed on the SCE's official forums...while some of it is still 'rumored', there are plenty of links showing developer comments on the OS issue...John Carmack said in an interview also that the 1.60 FW update was a tremendous help for Quake Wars optimization on the PS3...that by the way was linked on this site...its too late for me to search for this stuff, so w/e...but it would seem that a lot of the rumors on your blog could be debunked with 15 minutes of searching...

I do NOT believe this one. M$ is out to make money and this peripheral makes money. Not only that, they recently said that there weren't going to be any new SKUs coming out any time soon because "the Elite is selling so well" that they dont need to.
