Left4Dead Hitting the PS3?

OnAxis reports editor Bryan Irvings of Electronic Gaming Monthly seems to have confirmed Left4Dead on the PS3, which is currently an Xbox 360 and PC exclusive.

He states Ninja Gaiden II will not be coming to the PLAYSTATION 3 as previously suspected. "Like I said on the original post, the PLAYSTATION 3 listing in the magazine was just an editor mistake."
All is not lost though, at the end of his post, he wrote:

"As for Left4Dead: Yes, it will arrive on the PS3, as well."

Am surprise this is coming out as news to anyone. The game was in development for Xbox 360, PC and PS3. Although, because of development problems, they were far behind with the PS3 version and so had not openly come out and announce it. The 1UP YOurs from January 18 with the Gamasutra guy who interviewed David Jaffe confirmed that, there is indeed a PS3 version of the game. And it just isn't as great as the PC and 360 version as of right now but it is coming.

Oh and last thing, the company making the game were recently purchased by valve. That should tell you that, this game is a sleeper.

hahaha looks like 360 will be loosing another exclusive however this game isnt really a priority for any ps3 owner with all the great games coming out on ps3 this 1 seems a little mediocre. Plus its a valve game and since valve(gabe newell at least) hates ps3 so much we can probably guess how the game will turn out on ps3. On the other hand with all the great looking games that will be hitting ps3 this yr their excuses about the cell processor and bla bla will look more stupid than ever

Coop online 4 player storyline done right killing zombies. It's one of the few 360 games that i'm looking forward to. It's going to be one of those games that I play one time through and never play again though. I just hope it doesn't come out late because at a technological standpoint it's not doing anything really new and this game has to come out before Resistance 2.

I have to agree with you there, it does look slightly lower than HL2. But with the carnage on screen, I'm only worried that the gameplay holds up. I'll still throw in Deus Ex and give it a whirl, and that was built on the first Unreal engine.

i guess this would be ok, but im not too psyched about it- it looks fun, but pretty generic and it will certainly play second fiddle to the likes of Resistance 2 in terms of MP

however any new game on the ps3 is welcome so this is a good thing- it just doesn't appeal to me as much as it does to some other people

the one i am really eyeing for a ps3 release is NG2, but unless tecmo 1ups M$ again with a sigma-style thing then i don't see it happening- which is a shame because i really want to add it to my collection

Anyway: The developer of left for dead said responded to an interview of a question on wether the game would go on the ps3 by just saying that he won't rule it out and anything is possible.

Same thing with funcom and age of conna.

Frontlines will be like another timeshift or blacksite,

left4dead has an original plot but it's interesting.
