Pokemon tackles Xbox 360 Madden NFL 08 at retailer

Nintendo Co.'s Pokemon Pearl for the Nintendo DS handheld outsold EA's Madden NFL 08 for Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox 360 on Wed. following a discount that spurred sales for the latest Pokemon title at Amazon.com.

Pokemon Pearl on Wed. morning held the No. 1 sales rank at Amazon.com's Computer & Video Games, followed by Madden NFL 08 for Xbox 360 at No. 2.
