From the PlanetXbox360.com feature review:
"The day we finally got the final boxed, retail version of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction from publisher/developer Ubisoft Montreal/Entertainment here at our offices for review it was such a surreal moment it took a couple hours for the reality of the situation to wear-off. This Xbox 360 exclusive game has been in development for so long, and gone through so many different looks/changes that the sheer fact that it is being released this year is something to celebrate. Even so we can't help but feel that the extra development time and exploding budget helped Conviction become one of the best stealth-action games that we have ever had the joy of reviewing. Simply-put this is one of the most-enjoyable experiences you can have on your Xbox 360 right now and takes the Sam Fisher universe into the next-generation, for real. Each and every aspect of the game feels like it was crafted then molded by the most creative and caring of developers, no rock unturned or hiding place unperfected. Even though it is by no means perfect the feeling that you get during game-time surpasses anything else on the market right now, causing Splinter Cell: Conviction to be another must-buy video game in 2010; now let us tell you why."
Microsoft presented a new batch of Xbox 360 games that received Xbox One X enhancements via Xbox One backward compatibility, and here you can watch how they run.
Nothing wrong with more games. As someone who just fundamentally hates xbox, I am pretty jelly that xbox gamers get real BC.
Finally ninja gaiden 2 is BC, I've been waiting on this since they announced BC.
Ninja Gaiden 2 is the main game I wanted bcthen alone one x enchanced is this game is more fun than bloodborne
Amazing news! NG2!?!? Three Splinter Cell games!!! Fable 2&3 (the first is already enhanced)!!! This is what separates Microsoft's version of BC from others...its that they enhance both the performance and visual quality of these titles to keep them current in a lot of cases, instead of playing them exactly how they played and performed back in the day. Whats even better...I don't need to do ANYTHING but download the new patch...amazing.👏
Keep it coming Xbox!
Neil writes: "Every single month we hear the same old thing about the Xbox Games With Gold titles. "We don't want that rubbish - we want decent games, we want AAA blockbusters, we want something different". Well, the free Xbox 360 and Xbox One titles being given away during the month of July pretty much tick those boxes. What's the chances there will still be complaints?"
Tom clancy and virtua fighter are great death sqaured is pretty cool idk about assualt
Great month for 360 titles, X1 titles remind me of early days when all they gave away were indies, I hope they dont start doing that again.
Vf5 fs is the best fighting game of all time abd backwards compatible, so it is a huge win in my book.
No these are pretty awful. Virtua Fighter is great and so is Splinter Cell but those are 360 titles.
Carlos writes: "Xbox Backwards Compatibility has shown a strong start to 2018 with a number of top titles being made available to play on Xbox One, but whilst this week doesn’t bring quite as many new arrivals as the past few weeks, there is still one addition for us to get stuck into once more... and it’s one that’s sure to prove a popular addition."
"new"? an "old" Tom Clancy Adventure can be enjoyed on xbox one due to back capat is worth the return"
*Fixed*
Can't agree more, go out and get this game ASAP - great review!
I have to say between this and Mass Effect 2 that 2010 is looking up for the Xbox 360 over Playstation 3, I will admit that Heavy Rain was good but can't compare to these two in the first half of the year, Sony also had God of War 3 but 360 has Alan Wake coming up soon.....great year to be a gamer....
i really can't wait for this game!
At it's roots, Splinter Cell is a franchise inspired directly from Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid masterpiece. Over the course of time, the portfolio of Splinter Cell has not been in a positive light.
The latest entry, Splinter Cell: Conviction is no different. With last generation graphics and a "me-too" play engine. The game feels far too generic to suit the tastes of those who have been playing games that have pushed the medium to new heights. Specifically speaking, if you've been playing PlayStation®3, Splinter Cell is and should be nothing to you.
Sam Fisher goes through a complete overhaul as a character in Ubisoft's last ditch effort to give him some personality. What they did was repackage Max Payne and Solid Snake into one cluster and it came out like a pile of cow manure.
Microslaves, are these the exclusives you're playing this year? The Xbox 360 was a joke before, but this time it's simply a disgrace.
