I hope there's online support.

That its licenced by the NFL, if not PLEASE create new teams and not fake NFL ripoffs like Madden 64.

qface645182d ago (Edited 5182d ago )

won't be licensed by the NFL since EA holds the rights to said license (if i remember right)

gonna end up being a download game most likely
probably gonna go 8bit or retro style and everyone will eat it up just because its NOSTALGIC.....
that's what i predict at least

Rainstorm815182d ago

Not another 8 bit debacle.

Nostalgic my azz, New 8 bit games shouldnt exist in 2010. Like Mega Man 9 & 10, i just chalk it up to laziness. I mean in this day and age it must take like two guys a few months to develop an entire 8 bit game. User created levels on LBP impress more MM 9 or 10.

Anyone wants to play a 8 bit game buy the original nintendo or emulate on your PC.

like Mega Man 9 or 10 is a style choice. The game plays great, which is what truly matters. If a particular look fits the gameplay, all the better.

If Mel Brooks could make a *successful* silent movie in the '70's (50 years after they were outdated), who is to say that they shouldn't be made?

qface645182d ago

i agree with you Raiinstorm81 i find t silly that cspcom make something as lazy like MM9 and MM10 yet people still eat it up and praise them for it

I hope the PS3 version isn't gimped because of the 360.

i agree. it's now the BIGGEST fear of every gamer out there. the 360 has been gimping this gaming generation.

skwidd5182d ago

Yea from my understanding this game is going to need a lot of storage space that I'm not quite confident a DVD can handle.

xaviertooth5182d ago

i hope they can mimic all the teams in the nfl my fear is that due to 360s storage limitation, instead of all the teams and all the stadiums, it will be cut down into half just to appease the 360 owners and then later add the remaining half through dlc.

if it aint tecmo super bowl with real teams and players, no thanks, i'll stick to the original.

Tecmo Bowl VS. Tecmo Bowl: Throwback

Alex S. from Link-Cable writes: "We only have a few weeks left in our look at whether certain game remakes trumped their predecessors and this sixth part we are turning our attention from Dracula’s castle to the gridiron for a match between Tecmo Bowl and its modern remake Tecmo Bowl: Throwback. Now I’m not the biggest football fan (hockey is more my speed) but I loved playing Tecmo Bowl back in the day on the NES, especially in multiplayer. The game wasn’t really all that much about football but a great competitive, arcade-style experience that could be experienced just as well by sports fans and casual gamers alike. In 2010 the game was remade (using mechanics from its sequel Tecmo Super Bowl) as Tecmo Bowl: Throwback, a more modern take on the classic for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360’s digital stores."

Man, who wants to start a Tecmo Bowl league with me? Does it work online? Can I make my own college teams? ... I'm gonna have to look into this.

TheShrew3575d ago

Dude I am ready. I don't know if you can make your own teams, but you can definitely do online stuffs.

Sadie21003575d ago

I just need some real college football to start, and I'll be OK.
